Game 1:
Brawlers - 6
Nightmare - 2
Game 2:
Brawlers - 4(ot)
Nightmare - 3
Both games were fast paced, not a lot of penalties on either side. Game 2 was the better game as the pace was back and forth with a lot of chances and big saves and posts were hit quite often. Nightmare had 3-1 lead with about 2 minutes left and J.J. Fichter scored on a bouncing punk and Jimmy Reds tied it up with 40 seconds left and won in OT on a one timer from John Pinheiro.
After playing both the Brawlers and Savage Wolves 4 times each already, I would definately say that overall speed and top to bottom talent the Brawlers have the advantage especially with Keating and Grabert back in the lineup. Goaltending could go either way but I would lean toward savage wolves with Kyle right now. But the Savage Wolves play a very smart system style game and its very hard to get the puck once they have control while the Brawlers play straight up and down and take a lot of chances. They could easily play 4 games that could go into OT. Can't wait to see these teams play each other in March. By far the two best teams on the east coast this season.
