I heard rumor that someone is supposed to be cooking up an away white version of the IHC jerseys. anyone know anything? or should we start a petition to get some white jerseys in motion? i missed the boat on my number so i was hoping to get a second chance
I love the original 99's. I wear mine all the time. I would def be interested in some new white ones.

Hey Guys,
This rumor is accurate. I'll be putting something together shortly for Rich. Let me know what you'd like to see incorporated, if anything.

Hi Brandon,
Sweet. Glad you haven't forgotten us. ;)
I can't wait to see your next design ideas. Great to hear from you.

Hi hockeynuts,
I was surprised and disappointed when the NHL switched the designation. I thought home white jerseys were cool, and you could always instantly tell where a game was being played, whether home or away. It was a great tradition, and one I that I don't think needed to be changed.

the reason the NHL changed, IMO, is because of the third jerseys becoming common place in the early 2000's. the flyers black, the old sabres red, the oilers black, hurricanes black (horrible), etc. it also gives the fans a chance to see something different. and why would they want their team to wear them at away games?
another reason is it gives the players a chance to wear some vintage jerseys and feel like they can pay homage to the former players of the team that got the NHL to where it is today. the winter classics are what really inspired this. the oilers third jersey is the old 80's years, pittsburgh going to their pre 80's powder blue, the islanders wearing some 70's era jerseys. so then in the locker room, at a home game, you can tell your team to honor those jerseys and give the fans a game to remember.
not all the teams do the dark home though, the montreal canadiens are the only team i can think of off the top of my head that still wear white at home.

People who bought Original 99 jerseys should get first crack at the 'whites' so they can have a matching set, if you are only offering one of each number. I'm not crazy about the swooping collar and like the traditional jersey collar. Also, there should be a shoulder patch with Rich Graham's face on it.

Good luck finding a pic of Rich not in the box or on a wanted poster :)

Montreal wears red at home. They wore a vintage white the other night, but normally wear red

And I love that the Rangers wear blue at home. They were the last of the original 6 teams to wear a white sweater (they didn't have one until 1951). I wouldn't mind if they wore blue all the time. This whole excuse that it's too much for them to bring an extra helmet, jersey, and pair of socks is a bunch of crap. My goalie bag has like 7 jerseys, 8 crusty socks, 2 helmets, and all my other gear in it, and I manage.
I agree with "showtime89" about getting first crack at the numbers. People who bought them last round should certainly be able to have a matching set with matching numbers! Cant wait to see what they look like.

They were sold via auction. Originally, no opening limit, then it started at $50 a jersey.
