D1
1. Buffalo pretty much everyone returing. Tyler Wassler looks out of control amazing. Definitly the team to beat.
2 and 3- Up for debate between Rhode Island and Towson.
Rhode Island- Veteran team looking like the team that played in the national finals a few years bac.
Towson-Everyone returns except stein. Adds two good young players. With time is team will be real good. Remember these two teams play eachother this upcoming weekend.
4-Rutgers-Solid team will see what happeneds
5-Stony Brook-Lost alot but brings back keane and Cartwright two very solid players. Should be interesting to see what happeneds with this team.

Wish I could only say the same thing for the football team.

Agreed. They sure put a licking on us on Saturday.

It would also be a mistake to sleep on Rowan. They have a tough schedule this weekend and it will be a good test for them.

From what I've seen, Ecrha DII appears to be very balanced this year...no teams should be taken lightly. Any team can look flat and outmatched one game and come out dominating in the next, and vice versa...I'd say it's too soon to pick a top 5.

Judging from this past weekend, "Western Conference" is going to be a 4 team dog fight. I look forward to seeing how the rest of the division plays this upcoming weekend.

i think u should all worry about ur own teams... the season just started, u cant judge a team on 3 games

Exactly. The first few games are always very sloppy, especially for players that havent played together before.

I think you should learn how to spell practicing.

Rutgers and Buffalo have played 7 and 6 games respectively, which to me is quite the sample size (especially over a 23 game season).

Word to the wise - Watch out for the Cadets from West Point this year. Should be a break-out year for them.

There is no way penn state is better then buffalo or towson. I personally didnt see the Buffalo Rutgers game but from what I've heard Buffalo took them lightly and before they woke up they were in to big of a hole to climb out of. I still think Buffalo will be the team on top at the end of the year.

Penn State is better than Buffalo and Towson, you'll just have to wait and see. Buffalo split with PSU last season, and the Towson games were close.

Roux can make a pretty big difference if he's healthy enough. PSU will be a team to watch. Of course, most teams that play the game end up watching another team at some point, so who's to say?

Yeah, they finally got rid of the kid they had last year. They're pretty well off with Stewart and Appel in net for the ECRHA teams.

i wasn't able to attend this weeks games, i was wondering if anybody could give a small review of what they thought. from what i can tell it looks like westchester has moved to the top of the east. rowan seems to be a good first yr team, especially in beating neumann in what must have been an exciting game. did neumann lose that much in personell because it seems like they gave up a high amount of goals for a usually good defensive team, or did they change their philosophy to a run and gun team.

Neumann lost a decent amount of talent (pretty much the whole top line, I believe). However, they're still a very good, fast team. It does seem to me that they're playing a little more wide-open, high-scoring style than they did in years past, though. Hard to tell after just one tournament.

I do know I don't like being on the wrong side of all of their odd man rushes.

Rutgers had tough games with Towson and Penn State this weekend, but pulled both out. Way to go RU.

the games thi sweekend were interesting, but for d1 it seems like this...

rutgers, buffalo, and URI are in a class by themselves for now, with towson and penn state not far behind... but right now rutgers has gotta be number one because theyve passed just about every test thrown at them so far. whoever has momentum going into regionals may very well take the division one title... stony brook definitely dropped off a little, and west point always has a solid team. their first line of diaz/stortini is a lethal offensive combo. they could really put a damper in someones playoff run. uconn looks awful right now...and until they get their starting goalie back they are in DEEP trouble...havent seen too much of hofstra and pittsburgh so i cant really comment...

any thoughts?
