Lets hear them guys.

Here is mine.

MID ATLANTIC

1. Savage Wolves - Tournament team with an always stacked roster should be good

2. Southampton Cyclones - Looks like the old fury team with some new pick ups. Should boost them towards the top of their division

tie 3. Steel City Phantoms - Probably the bandits under a new name should be very good

tie 3. Philadelphia Brawlers - Use to be the growl....Use to have Anthony Flynn....Use to be a force

5. Scottdale Inferno - If its the same team as in past they will be well overmatched in this division

6. New Jersey Nightmare - New players and new name wont change result with the inferno and phantoms in this division

NORTHEAST

1. LI 495ers - Will be the team to beat after last years champ stayed in PIHA

2. Boston Jets - New name same "rats" (previous name) should be very good

3. Suffolk Sharks - New team with a lot of guys who use to play for SCCC should be a good team

4. Hartford Fire Ants - Will finally get a taste of the playoffs

5. Mass Mulissha - New team sharing rink with the jets will lose the talent show

6. NJ Surge - Use to be minutemen and stampede.... just way overmatched in this division

SOUTHEAST

1. Team Richmond - I see a division title in their future with nothing proved by any of these other teams

2. Maryland Crusaders - If this is the old Crush they should do very well

3. Raleigh Dragons - If their talent is like the Assaults last year they will do well

4. Virginia Generals - Will make the playoffs and pick up some wins in a weak division

5. Georgia Syndicate - New team new all around lets just hope they are better then the stingers

PACIFIC NORTH

1. Nor Cal Mustangs - Last years conference finals in PIHA this years divison champs again

2. San Jose pirates - Should be fighting for the top

3. East Bay Jaws - Should be competitive in this division again

4. Nor Cal Riot - New team

5. Oakland Good life - New team

PACIFIC SOUTH

1. Pama Cyclones - There isnt much else you need to say besides their name

2. Jr. Ducks - Phenominal program may give PAMA a run for their money

3. OC Blades - Another good tournament program should go .500

4. Irvine Anarchy - Unknown

5. San Diego Voo Doo - Unknown

SOUTHWEST

1. Phoenix Dragons - Who can argue with the defending PIHA Champ in the new league

2. Las Vegas Aces - With Stio at the helm the Dragons better be flawless

3. Tuscon Desperadoes - Fight the black diamonds for the last spot

4. El Paso Black Diamonds - Fight the Desperadoes for the last spot

Alright boys here you are. Lets hear them thoughts.

I think the Mulissha might surprise a few people. Also the OC Blades will depend a lot on who they can pull into their roster. Knowing first hand the talent that plays at Coast2Coast and the talent Ken Gibo has brought through the OC Blades organization they could be tough. I wonder if Prime will coach them. 495ers will always be solid with Thompson as an anchor. I also think the Pirates will pull out the Nor Cal division. I was stunned they didn't last year. With some of the experienced talent they can bring, they are definitely a team to look to. Some of those guys are just fun to watch.

Honestly, the So Cal division is so hard to predict without knowing the rosters. Irvine could challenge if they pull some of the guys that play there as well. New ownership has that rink moving in the right direction and the talent there is pretty good too. Comrie just pulled off the 3 golds at NARCh and some of the other guys down in San Diego are pretty talented too.

Anyone starting a thread like this will always get some flak for it but this is a good way to start some chatter about a league that desperately needs it.

I don't know the east as well as the west and your picks for the eastern divisions looked pretty solid so I wouldn't change those.

I agree with what someone else said though about San Jose Pirates being best team in their division. Nor Cal pulled a big upset last year and from what I've heard San Jose has improved, losing some bottom players and picking up a few more at the top.

SoCal is, as someone also said, too hard to predict prior to rosters being posted but as pre-roster pick for me would absolutely have to be OC Blades. I know, for sure, they'll have Revision Vanquish's goalie Mike Urbano plus Josh Laricchia, who was our best player when we won PIHA last year. I also heard they'll have at least a few other players from this year's NARCh pro champion Vanquish team.

Pama will be good, of course, but you've got to assume now that Itan is playing in the ECHL he won't be playing with them. San Diego definitely is overlooked sometimes, there's a good amount of talent there. I guess it's all hearsay until rosters are posted but that's the fun part. I'll say OC Blades win the division, the other 4 teams fight it out for playoff spots because nobody in this division will suck. League champ will come from SoCal. Just calling it now.

For our division, Southwest, everyone's gotten better. Tucson and El Paso have improved. We've improved, last year's AZ Strike folded we've added 2 of their best players. We're returning 6 players from last year's team, the only major loss being Josh Laricchia. Vegas I don't really know about, I know they'll be good but not sure how good. Should be us and them in the division final to be honest.

hahahahaha some ppl are funny the old growl team is still gonaa be a pretty nasty team this year they still got alot of the old players and some even older ones returning plus they got a solid minor team to back the pro team up i think they are gonna turn alot of heads and suprise alot of ppl

Roster:
Redstreake - decent player

Tracy - never likes to go on road trips.....guess he will have to be snuck onto a roster for games

Davidson - stand up d man

Keeting - excellent 2 way player

Fichter - doesnt have the speed to play with these guys

Pihnero - playing for blaze will miss to many games

Joey D in Net - best goalie in the game

Weight - who in the world is this

Lynn - who in the world is this

Grabert - to young to cocky

Campinero - will live in the penalty box

Grossi - who in the world is this

Scarillo - assume you mean charley and he can be shut down easily...one way player

Manny Reyo - will only see time when joey doesnt want to play

DCbullets14
10-17-2008, 05:34 PM
The Crusaders team has essentailly the same roster as last years Knights team. We have lost a few guys but have also picked up a few players.

I dont think that the roster is finalized but this is what i know so far

Brad Pryor
Matt Diese
Jake Truhlar
Andrew Simpson
Chris Simpson
Josh Stein
Matt Beam in net

Matt Diese was a late pick up last season but once he was added to the roster the team went 11 - 3.
Stein is a strong offensive pick up who should help out the returning forwards (Pryor and both Simpsons).
Truhlar is a very solid defensive playmaker
Matt Beam is solid in net he lead PIHA last year with 513 saves on the season

Weight - who in the world is this

Lynn - who in the world is this

if weight = bdub (brian waitt) he has played for team homecare at narch and is a platnuim level player with great speed and great hands and if lynn is jeff lynn he is also a solid player who often plays for the Nj Assault
I would need to look at the wolves roster to see who is on it besides gselle to know who was better out of the 2 teams but i think these 2 teams would probably be the the most talented teams on paper.

I have a funny feeling they mean, Brian Waitt - very good all around player. Should fit in well with the surrounding roster.

Steve Inge - ROXBURY 8

if it is brian, then that is a great pick up... however... his home rink is the assault's rink in PIHA. so he may be playing there in piha as well leading him to miss games. He also plays ice hockey for montclair state univeristy. They have a very heavy schedule through the end of february. So if it was him. I think it would be a stretch for him to qualify for playoffs. But he is a nasty player.

As for the growl... i have no doubt that they will be a very good team this year. After playing there for 4 seasons, it is going to be wierd to suit up against them. But thats hockey, right?

They will be vastly different this season then when i played. im sure that they balance of the lines will be a bit different. We used to roll 3 lines no problem. I have a feeling they are going to be playing 2 most of the time. With pinhiero, you want him on the rink as much as possible!

As for Joey D. best in the game? come on... his brother is way better :D

No, the southwest division will be using festival style scheduling too. If you play 16 games at home, 16 on the road, that should be no more than 4 trips out of Vegas (playing 4 games each out of town weekend). Could even be done in 3 trips if you have a few 6 game weekends.

rhhof
10-20-2008, 02:01 AM
Actually we should be OK - with a great commitment for ownership and sponsors already, the players will only have to foot the bill for limited travel - we will be offering our players per diem money on the road to assist with some of the expense, but everything else is taken care of.

I am working on two more players to commit that should have us in great shape - and along with the crew of people already coming out, including Downz, we will shape up nicely

After this weekend I will post the results of camp and players making our Elite squad

I cant wait to get going - Good Luck to all this year

I cant speak for our coach but I would assume they are playing pro.

We lost 9 games by a goal in pro last season and had half our goals come from three players.....

now that Ty and Nicky are eligible for Elites we just got a heck of a lot younger, faster, and better.....

Buffed floor??? Half of us played out of Aston last year...the Skatezone's floor is as smooth as ice in comparison....

justin malone

this is true astons floor was horible but at least it had some grip skatezone keeps rentingthe rink for phantoms and flyers events and they trash it every time. the never clean it and the far right corner by the scoreboard is always slippery like its been greased or something idk ive been playing there since it was opend and just think they took way better care of the rink a few years back . i know i had fun last year playing on that as our home rink but like skaters choice surface better .as for the aston rink all i know know is there was no passing on 2 on 1s cause the puck wouldnt stop hopping and the rink gave you that fun house effect

:eek:Holy Moly Mustangs pulled a big upset last season? They played hard as did the Pirates and remember on any given day anyone can win!:)As for this seasons predictions it is hard to say but the Pacific Division review might go like this:
NC Mustangs have some new faces on both squads and will be interesting to see where they will end up but I'm sure Coach will have the boys ready as will the leaders of both clubs, SJ Pirates returning some good players according to their Elite roster and have a lot of players on their Minor squad so lets wait and see. EB Jawz will be competitve if their roster holds, NC Riot a new entry into the league will also be competitive as their leadership players have been around inline for years and those boys are good, and finally the Oakland Good Life will be a wait and see as no roster is up yet. This is a review and not finishing predictions as this will definetely be a fun year so stay tuned.........................
Doug:)
