NEWRON CHASIS is the "REAL" Thing

Marc Genest and I both received the Newron Chasis mounted on the Mission "Boss" Syndicate skate. The way the chasis sets, it reflects the same set up and mimics an ice blade.

Marc Genest ran the chasis through a series of tests. Marc a former graduate of University of Chicago, NCAA Div II, Attended training camp with the New York Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs, also had a journeyman's career in the AHL, IHL, ECHL and WCHL/WPHL. Marc also played in the RHI.

Starts: Much faster. Short choppy strides can be used to accelerate to full speed WITHOUT slippage. At full speed, extension can be reached by snapping the toe or pushing through the foot, something not able to be accomplished with a regular chasis.

Crossovers: Marc was able to maintain quicker foot movement, shorter choppier steps and come out of the crossovers in full speed. Marc commented on how he liked the "feel" of the chasis and how it reduced drag

Stops: No problems with stopping whatsoever and starting from a stop is done as in ice.

Backwards skating and crossovers: We both noticed the true mimicry of ice here. This chasis will help mobile defensemen, with the ability to shift body weight and pivot, you don't lose speed during your transitions. Especially shifting backward to forward.

Overall: Marc and I agree this product will revolutionize the market and help not only the "high end" players but also anyone transitioning from ice to inline.

One more thing, Marc was the 5th leading scorer in PIHA last year. He brings credibility to a product like Newron.

Does the chassis use the same mounting holes as any other chassis out there?

I don't mind trying new chassis designs out if they might provide something good (e.g. vibe, predator) but I don't want to have more holes in the boot than necessary.

(not that I don't trust you guys, but are there any top level players vouching for these that aren't sponsored?)

To clarify:

We are not sponsored by Newron. We were given 2 chasis mounted to skates to see if we "liked" them first. Both of us, did and now we are pursuing an agreement based on our use of the skate.

I can tell you this, your speed increases, your turns are tighter and you don't get as tired.

Again, hopefully we can reach an agreement with Newron for the Pirates.

As far as Marc Genest, he's as high end as they come.

How wide is the boot? My son has a 4E width and the only skate he fits comfortably into in the toe box area of the boot is the RBK 6k. He also has to wear a size larger than he should be to get the needed width. His left foot is a size 4 1/2 and his right foot is a size 4 (he is forced to wear a size 5 skate).
He plays 6 days a week, is very hard on skates, changes his wheels every 3-4 weeks (Rink Rats Only!). He is 5'6" and almost 200 lbs.

We are supposed to use them in the MLRH tour this weekend, half our team likes them half hate them. They are diffrent to skate on thats for sure. The crossovers are the worst. The chasis seem to be linger than the normal chasis so they look like speed skates. The flex is cool once u get used to it, u really get more push in every stride.
