UC Santa Barbara has a full size (extra wide) rink on campus, it is indoor as well. The WCRHL plays regular season games there.

UC Irvine has a small practice rink on campus. I believe it is outdoor.

Kansas State University has approved a $22M expansion of the rec center and it is slated to include a full size, sport court rink. Should break ground this Spring and slated to be completed by the Fall of 2010. We are really looking forward to this.

Loyola College has a small indoor rink. It's a multi purpose setup, but they have plastic tile flooring resembling "flooring company that shall not be mentioned for fear of law suits against Richard." At any rate, the tiles are school colors, and is kept in great shape. Only problem is that it's probably the size of half a regular rink length-wise. But, it gives guys a place to skate and a place to practice on the surface they'll be playing on. That's one of the main reasons I decided to take grad school classes there and play.

Truman State University also has a small multipurpose room/rink. It's about half the size of a regulation rink, but again, solid practice space and we don't have to pay for rink time, which is a huge plus.

UNIVERSITY of Florida's outdoor rink is very close to where the girls Sunbath daily..... Before they put the rink in,the area was called Broward Beach. From March to November 30 to 100 girls would go there and sunbath. Not so many now,the rink took up a lot of the "beach". still nice sights there. I bet no where else has it like UF. And I live in Ga.

Lindenwood does not have a rink on campus....There is one rink that is an exit away from the school and another which is like 10 mins away.

Florida International University in Miami has a Full Size Outdoor practice rink that is good for drills and team play.

Other then that, it doesn't prepare us for Indoor play well enough at all.

Slippery Rock has a smaller gym that we play hockey in good for 3v3 basically a basketball court with concrete walls and rounded corners.

In theory the new IM sports complex will have an indoorsoccer/inline hockey in it whenever they start building it I have no idea

Yeah, Harvard is building up the program a bit now, and should be playing the second semester of this season at an ECRHA weekend or two. Goal is to be a full team for next season.

To all the schools that have rinks on campus...how in the world did you all make that happen?

For those who had a say on convincing their school to do it, any advice you can give to programs that are trying to get a rink on campus, or at least sport court to put down in their gym to practice.

where the hell is there a rink near campus, though? there's outdoors at the veterans MDC in somerville on concrete, that little mini-rink next to my house off of memorial, and there's an outdoor place in allston on concrete, but the only sport court rink i can think of near harvard is my home rink!

Our local indoor rink, Deerfield Sports Complex (AKA Sportsmall), closed down last week. The only other indoor facility is a half hour north, which isn't too bad, but they have no rink time available for us. Our school was originally supposed to buy Sportsmall for the ice team, but that fell through.

For those that do have rinks on campus (small/large/outdoor/whatever), do you mind linking up to some pictures of it for reference?

I recently built a rink on our campus. Its a high school though. It took almost 3.5 years from idea to reality. Anyone going through the process be prepared for a ton of hoops to jump through. You can check out some pictures on my site at www.anahockey.com . We are located in San Diego and invite anyone to join us for a pick up game. The pictures are under the photo album tab then select the rink album. Hope you enjoy the site.
