Mark & Michelle Takacs, “after years of dedication and fun running an inline hockey program in beautiful and hot Lake Havasu Arizona,” have a used rink for sale, and if they sell it through Inline Hockey Central, they’ll give IHC a commission.

Here are the details. The rink is 190′ x 85′ with “good old-fashioned wood boards with players’ box doors and equipment entry doors, Plexiglas on the ends and tempered glass on the viewing side,” according to Michelle Takacs.

The package includes an Ice Court surface, pro hockey nets and practice nets, two scoreboards with extra bulbs (which needs a control panel). “There is lots of rental hockey gear and helmets, several sets of rental goalie gear, rental skates in several sizes – all inline, majority Mission skates,” Takacs said. “Additionally, there is netting for around the rink, large halogen lights, a Border Patrol portable rink, and some concession supplies.”

The Takacs are asking for $45,000 for everything – in as-is condition – and the buyer pays freight for the (approximately) two full truckloads of gear.

Interested parties should contact the Takacs at [email protected] for more information.

Was always a fun rink to play at, hopefully someone can put this to good use, maybe somewhere in the North Phoenix/Scottsdale area of Arizona? No roller rinks in our hood, LOTS of ice players and money though ;)

Hi Kevin,

I thought it was pretty cool that you could see the mountains while you were playing. Sort of like playing at the beach in Santa Monica and seeing the ocean and the girls in bikinis skating up and down the boardwalk... well, not that great. ;)

Well it was kind of right next to a landfill haha but it wasn't that bad.
Always had fun at tournaments there. Maybe a college could put this to use?

Is a cameo appearance from the editor included in the price? It looks like it does come with a pretty inviting penalty box ...

Hi Cali,

Sure, I'll make an appearance, if a gold-plated nametag with my name on it is placed on the bench in the penalty box. Wherever I am, if I'm in the penalty box, I feel at home. ;)
