Does anybody know when the ECRHA preseason tournament schedule is going to be posted?

As usual, here's what happens. We can post it now and have 15 different teams complain for whatever reason and have to change it 7 times, or wait until later on and just release one schedule. Don't use the "you should make a schedule and make teams stick to it" argument, because all that'll happen is that your team will be driving x number of hours and only be able to get one game in because the other teams don't make it, and then everyone is unhappy.

The CDE is the hardest to get a schedule done for, with so many different teams playing and a TON of schedule requests. As the season goes on, expect it to be released sooner.

Yes, but some teams need to know the schedule in order to make travel arrangements. Waiting until a couple of days before is not logical.

Not only is it logical, it's the only feasible way to get the schedule completed. Every year since I've been involved (1999) at least one late request, team withdrawal from the league, etc. has come up and required a complete rewrite of the schedule. The first weekend is always the most difficult to create a schedule for, and the event is two weeks away, not 'a couple days'. Typically we post the CDE schedule 5-7 days before the event and other events two weeks prior. We're striving to be well ahead of that this year for the majority of events.

With that said, if your team has/needs specific travel arrangements, you should be getting in touch with us to work on that. I'm assuming you're wondering whether you need Friday night hotels - if you contact [email protected] that can be worked out for you.

At the ACC meeting last saturday, they said the schedule would be up by the end of this week (today, saturday, or sunday), so it should be up soon.
