The Blizzard, a PIHA team, has announced tryouts for the 2009 season to be held at the Bladium Sports Club.
This season will bring several exciting new changes for the Blizzard team including a Women's Division, a Masters Division and the return of the Blizzard Youth Division.
The Blizzard is Denver's premier Inline Hockey club and has participated in PIHA since the start of the Rocky Mountain Division three seasons ago.
The Blizzard anticipate a large number of Minor league positions available as last year's players seek Pro league positions throughout the Rocky Mountain Division. As such the Blizzard are encouraging everyone who has thought about playing in PIHA to attend tryouts to show your stuff. "We really feel only about 70-80% of Colorado's talent has ever participated in PIHA." Said Blizzard GM Chris Dowd "There are still a lot of excellent players watching from the benches and now is the time for those players to jump into a Blizzard uniform. The Blizzard Minor league teams have won three consecutive RMD titles and are looking forward to the opportunity, for the first time, to take a minor league team to a National Platform.
The Blizzard tryouts being announced are for both Minor league teams, the Snowhawks and the Landslide. The Women's, Masters and Juniors program tryouts will be announced shortly.

Tryout Cost $60.00 - Includes a Blizzard Tryout Jersey.
