The Team then discussed their plans for the 2008 - 2009 season with PIHA.

They presented their plan to reach out in the community and continue to work with several charities and children's homes. They also announced that for the 2008 - 2009 season, all military personnel and veterans are given free admission to all SC Pirates home games.

This along with the "Family fun package" where a family of four receives four tickets, four hot dogs, four soft drinks and general admission to an SC Pirates game for only $15.00

The team also announced it would be playing home dates during 2Hot4ice, Coastal Cup and Echo hockey tournaments on Saturday evenings to expose as many youth hockey players as possible to PIHA (www.thepiha.com) the professional league the SC Pirates are returning to.

WMBF (NBC Affiliate) interviewed Pirates top scorer, Marc Genest and asked for his expectations for the upcoming season. Rick Van Blarcum, owner of the SC Pirates also spoke of his goals to help the Pirates reach a larger market for the 2008 - 2009 season

Wrong...generally they are all Ace Jersey's but I don't think it matters.

Ah, they are playing PIHA....I assumed it was AIHL. But either way I haven't heard that Tour was taking it over....there's nothing of the sort on IHC or ThePIHA.com.

Jack,
That was one of the early problems last year, the league tried at one point to make all teams go to Tour uniforms (making our already ordered Ace uniforms useless). Not sure about this season though.
