I was just wondering why teams that said they were committed to the AIHL, But now they are going back to the PIHA..........

Is it because they are unhappy with AIHL?

Or do they want or think they have a better chance to win there division?

Now I know there will be no HONEST answers but I am curious to hear what people have to say........

If you take this personal, then take a good look at yourself.

Speaking as a fan, I highly doubt that having a chance to win their division has anything to do with it.

I think piha will be the harder one to win this season to be honest.... and as a player on a pretty good team in the AIHL (savage wolves) i can say that if we were to win the league, it would not feel the same. But also as a player it is tough to argue with the owner who covers everything... so i do not think that staying in piha makes it easier to win a division. If anything it's the same and/or harder.

As a player, i just hope that this season in the AIHL is everything that it's supposed to be.

Does anyone have a ruling on if the AIHL will let players play PIHA as well??

If AIHL delivers a SoCal division like they're saying, then there's no way you can say PIHA will be harder to win. There are 4 NARCh pro level teams in SoCal alone plus plenty more talent that can stack up to your average PIHA/AIHL roster.

The top team, if not multiple teams, out of SoCal will be better than anyone in PIHA. Or AIHL.

from what i've heard, it's up to the team or the league; not both, as to whether you can play both leagues. obviously it could be a scheduling conflict to play both. so your team may not agree with you doing it. but the league could say go ahead if it wanted to. that's what i gathered

I think teams will be more willing to accommodate the Elite players that would be willing to play in both leagues, even if the Elite players are only on the rosters for the minimum number of games allowed in order to qualify them to be eligible to play in the playoffs.

Nothing worse could happen then if teams have a majority of players that play in both leagues, even if they are Elite players. I think that would defeat the whole purpose of having two competing (market penetration wise) leagues.

Lets see how the season plays out and if this scenario actually occurs.
