W-Side Hockey

Some friends and I are trying to round some people up to join us for some inline hockey pick up games during the week. There is a nice little outdoor hockey rink in burleson near the softball fields. we already have a few players but are looking for more. this is a free outdoor rink open to the public. we usually play mon, wed, and friday nights.

basically, from the ft worth/dallas area you would take i-35W south towards waco, once you enter burleson you will take the exit ramp for hwy 174/wilshire blvd. stay on 174/wilshire all the way til the stoplight at summercrest (if you get to the walmart on your left you went too far!). take a right on summercrest and go aproxmatley 2 miles and its there on your right. i think there may be some road construction on summercrest but there are detour signs you can follow to get around the construction. its a lighted outdoor rink complete with walls and a couple of decent goals. we sometimes play up til 10 or 11 if there is a good crowd.
