I'm looking for a team this year. There's all this AIHL/PIHA controversy. Which league should I try to play in? I just want to play some freaking hockey here.

You should play in the MLRH.
Its the only league that resemble most how hockey should be played.

Me? I like innovation and change. (ie. NHL Regular Season - OT Shootout)

And roller hockey doesn't? The MLRH is a bunch of goons running around hitting each other. Just because it is "roller hockey," the same gameas MLRH (a skate with four wheels on tile type floor), doesn't mean the game isn't physical. We still actually check during our games, you probably just never take the time to watch. And, if i really wanted to get anal, i could tell you to play a real mans sport, ice hockey, because roller is slow, weak, and boring. But I'm not because I enjoy the game of roller hockey.Thanks for your time.

I see that you go to Towson because of this I would suggest you consider playing for the Maryland knights, AIHL (my team) or possibly one of the teams out of the york/harrisburgh (PIHA) area. Eigther of these teams will be a bit of a drive for you.

I think that whichever league you choose to join will have some competitive hockey but I would advise you stay away from MLRH. The EUROCUP was in my opinion was a total joke.
