In the WCRHL there have been no big moves by any teams.

Claremont College elects to play in the new Division III.

UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach State and Cal Poly SLO have already committed to Division I.

CSU San Bernardino and Sonoma State have already committed to Division II.

Possibilities of new B teams from CSU Long Beach and Sonoma State.

The due date to turn in your Team Commitment Form for WCRHL teams is August 1st. Email me at [email protected] if you need the form or have any questions.

Hopefully Cal Poly Pomona takes a step up this year too.

Why isn't CSU San Bernardino moving up? Are they losing people? Christian Bernad might have been the best DII player in the country last year, IMO.

Is Arizona State going to have a team? Anyone know? There are some great players out there, so it would be great to get them in the collegiate mix.

I believe Christian Bernad transferred to Long Beach who by the way will also be adding 2 Platinum OC BLades players, one being Paul Anderson.

I hope they stay in DII personally. I really think some of the guys are tired of losing by 5 to them (3x's in 2 years) and want the opportunity to play them with everyone in the lineup.

Sounds like Long Beach is going to be an improved team next year. DI Nationals are already shaping up to improve upon last years which was the best that i have ever been a part of, IMO. (2003- Feasterville, 2006 - North Carolina, 2007 - St. Louis, 2008 - Colorado Springs).

CSUSB is definitely losing players, Christian being one of them. They are actually on the fence if they will have a team or not, but if they do, they'll be DII.

Pomona has not committed, I also am not sure if any players graduated in June.

Arizona State SHOULD have a team. Waiting for confirmation and commitment from them, but we have had several conversations.

Forgot to mention, Christian is a great player, his scoring punch will definitely give CSULB some more depth in their lineup.

I haven't talk to any of the teams, but going through their rosters it looks like the following are the only players out of eligibility. This doesn't take in to account players who graduated.

Towson: Matt Vensel and Josh Stein.

Buffalo: Jay Slutsky and Stephen Ostrow

Rhode Island: Bryan Eriksen and Rob Marino were both listed as Seniors last year, but they also have one year of eligibility left. I have no indication if they intend to return. Everyone else seems likely to return.

Stony Brook: Jim Tamburino. I have no clue if anyone else has graduated but nobody else is near the eligibility limit since Stony Brook has only had a team for 3 years.

Rutgers: Jeff Grabowski and Robbie Fulton were both listed as Seniors last year, but they also have one year of eligibility left. I have no indication if they intend to return. Everyone else seems likely to return.

Just a reminder, i compiled this just from what the teams have posted online and who knows what could change come season time.
