The Pics look great, the event went well, and we had a good time filled with references to Back to the future, SNL (Da Bears), and the Blues Brothers.

the eurocup was alot of fun. hopefully next year it can be more organized and people will follow through with what they say they will.
i thought the boston goalie was seriously injured, like concussion everything. especially as for he just layed there a good minute.
and jj, your name was alot of fun to tell ryan how to pronounce. sorry for any names said horribly wrong all weekend, anyone...we tried

Not one misspelling of JJ's name all weekend... I was impressed, and slightly dissappointed... the butchering of JJ's name is always a highlight of our pre-game festivities...
#44... your captain... JJ Jazzystrombuski
Also fun with names... Calling for a pass from Frank~Frank and getting stuck like a skipping CD... frankfrankfrankfrankfrankfrankfrank...

haha... Thanks Sherwood. You're gonna make my 3 assists look like I didn't mean to do it or something. haha.

I can statistically, MLRH or PIHA, that Frank has a multitude of assists, so I can say he started about 2002 or so....He also got credit for almost all of them too, thank god he wasn;t playing with #99!!!
From what I saw from a far, it looked like there were only 100 misspellings on the rosters, which breaks the record from Bill's last event - I didnt count on the net, I didnt see all the games to hear good old Richard butcher anything else
I mean c'mon, its not that hard to say either Frank's or DBL J's names really....when do they touch the puck anyway, lol, jk guys
It looked like a fun event and I wish I could have been a part of it, and great job to you all!!

Easy Stio,
Frank~Frank and I played a good bit of old school keep away hockey in at least one game.... mostly trying to wait each other out and see who would actually break first. Neither of us actually did.... no suprise. Sherwood must have been on the rink with us, which means 3 of us on the rink weren't moving.

JJ... I think after we did it the second time, Sherwood and Rob both just parked themselves against the boards and waited.. they knew the old men weren't gettin real excited to go up the floor. haha.
Stio... I think I can count on 2 hands all my assists since 2002. haha.
Stay at home defense men are the first to touch the puck, and the last to get any credit. :D

Hi Bill,
I try to make sure that the names of IHC readers are spelled correctly. Everyone else? Who cares? ;)

I have always found that Frank has Gretzky type vision. Once I learned where he was passing the puck, I must have got it nearly every time he had it. See, Frank is really just saucering the puck over the goalies glove and blocker, into the glass and around the boards, he's particularly fond of the left offensive corner. On a sidenote, the saucering just happens to be at very high speed.

Not to be rude, I'm just ignorant of this subject. but I'm from the midwest, i have no clue who any of these guys are. What is the caliber of play there? I'm sure JOFAS are still in style but who can these guys be compared to out here?

Hi Alex,
My guess is that Team Dynamo would do pretty well at NARCh. They can play both non-check and the full-contact game, they're fast, they pass the puck and they play as a team.
It would be interesting to see...

Alex,
I would say that most of the guys who played in the Euro Cup, have played in PIHA, Narch and Torhs. They weren't the superstar names that everyone knows of. But for the most part they were guys who have all played at a high level for quite some time.
Frank Frank is a superstar. I'm not doubting him. But for the rest of us, we were just playing in his shadow. ;~)
Either way it was a competitive tournament and a lot of fun.
