AAU 16AAA division

Very interested in how this division turns out. Anyone know who won the semifinal games? Especially Jr. Ducks vs. Black Ice '92?

They should be over about now but I'm sure the scores won't be updated on the AAU website for at least a few hours.

The web site was wrong originally: the Ducks were the 1 seed and RBI 92 the 2 seed. They did not play each other in the semi's. Jr Ducks played the Tour Jaguars and won 9-1 and RBI 92 played the Black Beauty Quakes and won 6-1. They now play each other in the finals at 6pm.

Okay, good. I was hoping they'd re-seed. #1 vs. #2 should never happen in semifinals.

Revision Black Ice won the final game 6-5 over the Jr Ducks. I was told they had a 4-1 lead when the Ducks got some momentum going and scored 2 in a row in a short span; but the 92's caught their collective breath and scored 2 to widen the gap back to 3 goals. The Ducks would not go away and scored twice more but time ran out on their attempted comeback.

Black Ice had a 5-1 lead at one point, Ducks took over the final 10 minutes of the game, outscoring them 4-1 but it was too little, too late.

Kudos to AAU on webcasting games. It did cost $5 and the announcer was absolutely ridiculous but hey I'm trying to be positive here.
