Hartford Fire Ants 2008-2009 Tryouts

The Hartford Fire Ants will have their second set of tryouts:

July 19th

11am to 1pm (please arrive early for registration)

Enfield Dek and Rollerpark Enfield Connecticut.

Cost is $50, $20 if you attended the June 1st PISA tryouts.

Players selected will be eligible to participate in Training Camp with the returning players in August for final evaluations.

I remember the good old Enfield twin rinks...the Springfield 'Pics had a team and it was the summer Pro/am...great leagues...Matt and Craig Janney, Paulie Fitzsimmons, Bill Butler, John Grisevich, Kevin Dineen and a host of others on my team...

twin rinks are still there. sooo tiny for ice rinks. played there many a time growing up.

The pic's became the indians then the coyotes. not sure if they are around anymore.
some good nhl talent from the area played there, Ron Hainsey, etc.


the enfield roller rink/barn is up the road a bit.

we are trying to have tryouts at the rinks all over the state to get some new blood and then hold our camp at our home rink, the Zrink,

Some names from the past you listed there.I guess our contribution to the NHL here in Connecticut is always over looked.
