Hey Folks,

Here's a story about a story -- NIHA-Canada's Scott Hill writes about how playing inline hockey can help improve an ice hockey player's skills. I agree, and think that each version of the sport can help the other... if close-minded people will change their perspective... or move aside for more visionary leaders:

Any ice coach that says roller is not good for their players is an idiot. Look at Itan Chivira going from dedicated roller to Junior A's in Canada and absolutely dominates. I personally am seeing 3 dedicated inline players that play narch platinum play in their first ice league. To put it lightly these kids are the best players in the league and are smoking everyone in the top division. Now these dedicated ice players are cheapshotting them because they are inline players and expect me not to put them in the box for it!!

Hey IvanDragoTKO,

Great post. It is funny (in a sad way) how some people choose to keep their misconceptions rather than open their eyes and accept that they were wrong.

one of our imports this year played WHL but has said he much preferred (and was better) at inline - but the opprtunities besides amateur play aren't there inline.
