Odds makers, how are you picking the finals?

Great questions. And how about another one, who is playing against Team International? Who picked the U.S. All-stars team? I've heard guys are being flown in. Why wasn't this advertised? And shouldn't guys from the final two teams make up the team playing the International Superstars. After all, aren't they considered the best group of players since their teams made it to the finals?
Why a roster check? Is there something we should know?
About the prize money, I think it's going to be used for the interpreters for the Superstars.

Flights to Col = $5000
Team Colours to play in = $2000
Food & Hotels = $4000
Smellin's what "the Roge" is cooking, back stopping another championship = Priceless
For everything else, there's Master Card
Good luck old boy .... I think there seems a lot more to this story than will be posted on a public board.

when is the final? so there may not be a final? I think that is not true. Why come all this way for the year and cancel the Finals.

The finals start this Thursday night. Two games Thursday night, two games Friday night, and the rest Saturday afternoon. I'm confused too about Center_Ices comment. Care to explain?

Thanks Justin. Also for Jeff "The Skunk" Goulet, Jay McGowen, Scott St. Cyr, Dan "Statue of" Liberty and Eric Sarao and Tony "The Sniper" Silvestri who were a part of the Roller Rats. I'd hate to count my chickens before they hatch, but I'm very confident with guys I just listed playing in front of me.
Center_ice is an idiot who doesn't know what he is talking about.
There will be a league final this Thursday-Saturday in Colorado. Or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about and myself, and the rest of my team, are going to Colorado Springs just to hang out and see the sights.
Second, roster check? We have no roster issues. If you're referring to Justin Maroon not being on our roster, he has been verified by the league as eligible to play but they have yet to actually add him to the roster online.
Any other bullsh*t you want to waste our time with?

yeah I forgot about those players as well. Yeah a lot of players went to the blaze this season. Yeah i have to say your team is the favorite to win. Have fun and bring home another championship to the east.

Alex, Easy tough guy. according to stats Justin did not play in enough games to quailfy for the playoffs (19).
Seems that the Mustangs coach was not very happen at the Western Conference finals over your teams roster.
Seems maybe a few guys did not have enough games to play in the playoffs.
But Charlie let you guys play anyway since Jim the dimwit signed off on your roster.
Also found out through the grapevine that the league was not paying your way to the finals.
While we are at it how much of your league fee actually got paid, because I was told by someone in your division that none of the teams paid the full amount and that two paid nothiing at all.
Alex, are we living by double standards, I know your team made it the finals and good for them, but how is it fair that you guys slid by the rules and still manage to get to play.
Do you think it is fair to all the teams that played by the rules and paid their money in FULL but did not get the same benefits that your team has recieved?
Did all of your guys play in enough games (20)?
Did your team in fact pay the full amount of $4,500.00 to be in the league?
Did your team get any compensation for the Western Conference finals? No and why was that?
Why is the league not paying your travel fees to Colorado?
Most of this may not be your teams fault and probably falls on the shoulders of the two bozos that run this league.

Center_ice, some good questions but make sure your right before you put stuff up on IHC. You have made some good points but have pointed fingers at teams, people and the league. I am interested in the answers to your questions. Let see if someone will answer.

You won't get away with insinuation and false accusations by throwing a hundred questions at me. You were absolutely out of line to come on here throwing false accusations around. Every single one of our players who played in San Jose and who will play in Colorado have enough games to play. They are eligible. Is that understood? Our last 2 regular season games were incorrectly entered. Once credited with those 2 games like they should be, all our players exceed 20 games. Those games are no longer accessible in the system. The league officially credited the games, Maroon has not been added to our official playoff roster but is eligible. The end.
Your problem is you state as fact things that you do not know are true or not. If you came on here and asked about our roster like a rational person then this wouldn't happen. But when you come on here and throw out BS statements like you did, there's a problem.
Financially, you're talking to the wrong guy. I don't have a single answer for you. Me and all the other guys on this team paid money to play at the start of the year just like everyone else in this league. Maybe you have some sources who tell you otherwise, if so please let me know where I can get back those hundreds of dollars that disappeared from my wallet at the start of the season. I know nothing else. I paid and I go out and play the games, like the other 10 guys on the team. When you come on here and say things like Dragons probably won't show up and that we have illegal players, I'm going to, rightfully so, get on your case about it. You were wrong for doing so. Our players are all eligible, we are going to Colorado, and that's what I can tell you.
Since you've successfuly hijacked this thread, I'll start another one so those who want to can focus on what this thread was intended to be about.
Did your team in fact pay the full amount of $4,500.00 to be in the league?
It shouldn't matter. They would only have needed to pay $3,300 in the first place. their $1,200 in minor fees (paid or not paid) shouldn't matter since it is the pro Dragons coming to Colorado in the first place, not the minors.
Did your team get any compensation for the Western Conference finals? No and why was that?
If you're talking prize money, there is none for conference finals.

ive watched this forum for a while, never had anything worth adding but gotta say something here.
people are gettin it wrong. it was arizona strike and el paso diamonds did not pay their league fees. why do you think phoenix played tucson in the division final? strike were booted from the playoffs by the league for not paying. el paso didnt make playoffs but they woulda been booted too.
why do you think tucson and phoenix were allowed to play division playoffs? they both paid! alex says he and his teammates paid at the start of the year cause they must have. the league woulda booted them from playoffs if they didnt!
so why is the league not paying for their travel to finals then? think about it!!! where does money come from to send a division champ to the conference finals and league finals? it comes from all teams in the division paying their share. together that money sends the division champ to playoffs.
when other teams dont pay (el paso and az strike) the division champ (phoenix) is punished and league doesnt pay for them to go to conference or league finals.
right or wrong thats how it goes...but that dont mean phoenix did something wrong...
I want to comment once more to clarify my lack of response is not an avoidance of the question. Essentially, I do not know the extent of those financial questions. I know this:
Myself and the players on my team PAID money to play at the beginning of the season. We were told to pay $200 and we each paid it. We played the season. All of our players who have played in the playoffs were legally qualified and eligible. We have beaten some good teams and gotten to league finals. I don't know everything about what's going on behind the scenes. Apparently, some teams in our division did not pay. That's been the source of financial problems in our division. But myself and the guys on my team did nothing wrong. We paid, we played, here we are. I don't know what else there is to say. I know nothing more.

good luck in the finals Alex, I didn't read the questions about your team as implying wrong doing by the players, more as wondering if anything fishy was happening at league head office.
hockey_dude: surely two teams not paying their league fees shouldn't be enough to impact on a whole league being able to meet its commitments (contractual obligations?) - particularly when it sounds like it is able to pay to host teams/players that aren't a part of the core league business (i.e. the teams for the finals)

And how about that PIHA website promoting the event, what a joke!2nd
The PIHA website is no where near as up to date as is needs to be. No schedules, no stats, IHC is a better source of information than thepiha.com.
