Strong, but in need of support...
While many popular rec programs are facing the budget ax in the North San Diego County city of Escondido, an array of city recreation programs escaped the cuts, including adult leagues in softball, basketball, soccer and roller hockey. Also spared were teen and youth programs in soccer, roller hockey and volleyball.
The Escondido Sports Center is one of six WIHA facilities in Southern California and a host facility to San Diego's Metropolitan High School Roller Hockey league, the only CIF sanctioned league in California.
