SC Pirates honored for their Southeast division championship
Team to be honored by local professional ball club and city

May 28th will be "SC PIRATES DAY" in Little River, SC

The Southeast division 2008 Champions have been added to the Little River Chamber of commerce's website as a staple in the community. The team which was founded in August of 2007, has had a prestigious rookie year in the Professional inline hockey association. The Pirates are known for their countless hours of charity work, community involvement and dedication to their sport. The Little River team recently won their division on May 11th at SportsZone the "grandstrand's premier sports Facility".

The team will be honored at a chamber of commerce function, May 28th in Little River where the players will be introduced and the owner will then be given the key to the city and it will be declared "SC Pirates" day.

The Pirates are the first professional sports franchise in the Little River community and will be honored with their Southeast division title trophy on display at the Little River Chamber of Commerce for the month of May. The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the "A" affiliate of the Atlanta Braves will also honor the Pirates in a pregame ceremony in June at their stadium and proclaim it SC Pirate night. Fans will be encouraged to wear Pirate garb and outfits. The PIHA team recently won the southeast division of the 42 team league PIHA (Professional inline hockey association) and are currently in the East Coast semifinals of the league beginning May 30 - June 1st, vs. the Connecticut Blaze.
