Not sure of the exact scores, but Chicago Minors defeated the Midwest Tornados Minors. I believe it was 3-2, 2-1.


Snipers and Tornados for the PIHA Gateway Championship next Saturday at Midwest Sport Hockey in the Pro Division.

Snipers and Untouchables Minor Pro Championship will be Friday night at All American! Snipers beat River City 6-1 and 7-2.

AAA, Snipers upset the Whalers 5-4 and 6-5 to head to the championship to face the Tornados who defeated the Cobras.

AAA and Minor Pro finals will be played at All American on Friday while Pro will be at Midwest Sport Hockey on Saturday. Stay tuned for more details!

Hi there,

I was watching my kid's tournament at Rollin Ice in San Jose, which they were playing at the same time as PIHA. (How lucky are we to have such a wonderful facility with three rinks...) I think there was an upset and the Northern California Mustangs beat the San Jose Pirates in an overtime game.
Once again, this isn't official, but just what I heard.

Do any other PIHA teams schedule a youth tournament at the same time as their PIHA games? The Pirates in San Jose do, and it was a great success.

I was told it got reschedule toThursday night at Blade Runners. It should not make any difference since both teams know that they will have to play more than likely on Saturday in Harrisburg and it's a relatively short drive for either team of 3 - 3.5 hours.

Due to local tournament conflicts next weekend, the PIHA Southwest Division championship series was played today between Phoenix Dragons and Tucson Desperados.

Game 1
Dragons 5, Desperados 3
Tucson led this game late in the 2nd period before Justin Maroon tied it up for Phoenix. Josh Laricchia set up two goals in the final minutes to make it 5-3 Dragons.

Game 2
Dragons 6, Desperados 2
This game was close to the end as well. Desperados trailed 3-2 late in the game before Dragons scored three in a row to sweep the series and win the Southwest Division title.
