Doug,
I may be interested in this. I will know more in a week or two.

I think it's a really good idea. $1,000 for a tournament though. I guess with all the extra cool stuff it might be worth it.

i can not speak for everyone... but i would be interested in either trying to get the Growl or the Savage Wolves Pro teams down there for that tournament. That sounds like a great time. Only draw back for outside PIHA teams. There is a chance they could be at the finals the weekend before... If it's a go, i will do my best to try and talk one of those two teams into coming down.

If I can get sixteen teams to play, then we are on...there is so much to do which is why I am trying to set up games for Saturday in time slots, so guys can either golf, hit the cruise casino ship or hit the VIP party at 2001 which is a cougar trap...it would also give alot of us who are in PIHA and NARCh the opportunity to hang around and have some fun off the rink as well...

I'm trying to see if there is some interest from the Demolition guys. How many games are guaranteed?

Wow...that's a heck of a lot of perks...but I agree that the $1000/team may be high, especially considering gas/flight/hotel costs.
Maybe consider scaling back the price and scaling back the prizes?
I guess it's all in how well you can sell it to the teams...
bad weekend for me or i'd definitely try to get my guys there.
this sounds like a great event.

In listening to posts, I have reviewed numbers. Obviously, the rink and local businesses are welcoming the opportunity to make this a great time!!
Please review and again, express your thoughts.
16 teams need to play. So far, I have gotten four teams plus the Accubrick Penguins (Pirates), I need eleven more. If we can all do this, it will be a great time and one that won't be forgotten soon!

Pat there are four round robin games guaranteed. Top eight teams make the playoffs.
