Hey guys,

I recently moved to Los Angeles and have a great group of guys ready to play in local and regional tournaments. I'm having a hard time identifying operational events and was hoping the crew could provide some insight.

With the Pacific Cup and Top Cat Hockey now nonoperational, what tournaments outside of Narch would you recommend (if any)?

Also, if you live in West Los Angeles, the beaches or are willing to travel to play, reply and let's touch base.

Thanks in advance!

Hi gdelrio,

One thing you might try is to check out the Los Angeles Kings' web site -- the Kings run an inline hockey tournament at a local YMCA that might be worth looking into.

I'll get you some more information soon -- I've got some feelers out.

Check out WIHA, or Western Inline Hockey Alliance. Website is westerninline
(sorry, this forum won't let me post websites because I haven't posted enough. Worried about Spam, I guess.) Anyway, there is a www before westerninline and a dotcom after.

They have pretty much stepped in and replaced Top Cat and Pacific Cup.

They have six rinks working together. The website should show all the rink information, along with tournaments and results.

Good luck.

Thanks guys!

I checked out the WIHI site but didn't see much for adult events.

I'll appreciate any info you have Richard. Thanks in advance.

two more cents...

Another source is in El Segundo at
www.toyotasportscenter.com/

There's an event in October in Irvine that draws some top adult competition:
Give Blood - Play Hockey Charity Inline Hockey Tournament

Good luck!

P.S. Sometime in August, schedules of CA tournaments for the next year will start being made more public
