2.7 million roller hockey players

So in 2004 the Washington post a very reliable source said there is 2.7 million roller hockey players compared to the 2.8 million ice hockey players, i believe since the growth of state wars and the growth of the overall sport that there are more roller hockey players now.

This is really cool, I hope the sport will grow into something big one day.

I'd be interested in knowing where the WP got those numbers, their methodology, etc.

It would be great if those numbers were accurate, and that inline hockey is growing again after years of declining numbers, and that Google and Facebook were advertising their PIHA teams on IHC... ;)
