addon ratchet type skate closure system

I want a ratchet type system to add to hockey skates so I don't have to tie my sons skates 5 times a day on the weekend when he goes outside to skate.

Is there a ratchet type system that I can add to hockey skates that will grab the eyelets and then hold them closed and tight using the ratchet type closure system that almost all fitness type skate use? The for games I could take the system off and use laces to make to skate secure on the feet.

Duct Tape? I am sure you could have a shoemaker add one one, but removing it? Hmm.

yeah, you can get them added - I had a skate place add these to mine back in about 1991, but it was rivetted into the plastic. Perhaps 'crank straps' like the aggressive skaters use might work.

Is the problem tieing the laces or getting them tight? if your son can tie the laces, but can't yank things tight enough, maybe a skate hook would help?

If they could make one that just hooks into the eyelets where the laces go. It seems so easy, this product should be out there.
