im not hating on anyone, but it seems like except for the umsl power play and breakout pass to tallo for the goal, the entire third period was in the umsl zone with the shots about 25-2. it was a great win for umsl but i would have to think that 4 out of 5 times the game will go to lindenwood.

Keep in mind that Lindenwood had two power plays (scored with :02 left in the second one) and controlled the puck for over a minute on a delayed penalty...that's almost half the period.

Lindenwood had great puck control and really worked well down low. A couple of missed opportunities and I think a post made a difference in the end. UMSL's guys all deserve credit for putting everything the could in the shooting lane and Cash made all the saves he had to. That's the kind of pressure situation you love to be in :D
A lot of talent on both sides and I look forward to highlights from a rematch...
BTW, nice passing on the PP goal for UMSL. Very, very crisp.

UMSL won the game that mattered....at the time. Now we get another week of games that matter.
LU should be out to prove that loss was a fluke. UMSL should be out to prove that win was NOT a fluke.
LU will not be taken lightly by any team. If anything, it's proven they aren't perfect and every team should be chomping at the bits to take them down another notch.
Likewise, every team should have UMSL in their sights, just to claim they took down the team that took down "the team".
I don't care if the USSR would have beaten the USA 99 times out of 100 in 1980. The USA won when it mattered.
Win when it matters; but remember that every game matters.
