A lot of information there, nice research, I'll just leave my comments to my own division...

It's a lot more likely that El Paso earns that 3rd and final playoff spot in the Southwest Division. Tucson has several games in hand but all their remaining games are against Phoenix Dragons and Arizona Strike. Tucson hasn't earned a point yet against either of those teams. It's possible, but they've got to turn it around and pull 3 or 4 upsets against the top teams to make playoffs.

Does anybody know how the playoffs work after the division rounds. Who would the winner of the Northeast play.

Alex thanks for the compliments and info, I wasnt sure who to pick in the Southwest because I dont know the teams very well, I just saw that Tucson pretty much controls its own destiny.

You're right they do control their own destiny. Just gonna be a tough one.

And as for the playoffs after divisional rounds, the 4 division winners go to conference finals where they are seeded #1-#4 based on regular season record. #1 plays #4 and #2 plays #3 in best of 3 series. The winners of those play in the conference championship in a best of 5 series.

Example: as things stand today in the Western Conference (assuming division leaders actually win their division playoff series)...Midwest Tornados (54 points) would take #1 seed and play the #4 seed San Jose Pirates (30 points) while #2 seed Colorado Springs Thunder (47 points) would play the #3 seed Phoenix Dragons (32 points).

Im going to say that the west final will be...

Tornados vs. Thunder .... I say Thunder in 5 games. It's just hard to bet against CJ, Yinger, and Ciolli. But i would not be surprised if Midwest won this match-up, as they are VERY good this year.

I'm biased, but in the east i'm going to say that the final will be...

Growl vs. Blaze... but it would not surprise me if the Lunatics were in here either. Obviously all the teams needs to make it out of the division playoffs, where anything can happen. But the Growl and Blaze right now seem to be the two best east teams, both riding big winning streaks.

Then the final would be Growl - Thunder in Colorado... would be fun if it happened!

other predictions?

Is there a reason why York is out of the playoffs and not being listed?

We have five teams in our division....

from what i was told the divisions with 5 teams only get 3 teams in playoffs so that would eliminate york but im not positive about that

Divisional Playoffs

In each of the eight divisions two rounds of playoffs will take place, the divisional semi-finals, and divisional finals. In a four team division the top three teams will make the playoffs with the top seed earning a bye. In all other divisions, the top four teams will make the playoffs with the top seed playing the fourth seed and the second seed playing the third seed. All divisional playoffs will be played at the home of the highest seed in each match up. All divisional series will be best of three game series to begin on May 2-4 with the division semi-finals and then the division finals on the weekend of May 9-11, 20008. Each division winner will win $1,000 in prize money.

That is what I thought too, but I was just told that it is divisions with 4 teams that only get three.

I thought they eliminated the $1,000 prize to each division winner since there's so many more divisions this year...?

In the Mason-Dixon, there is some wrong info.

If Potomac Wins last 2, it will force Maryland to win its last 6. Maryland still has 2 vs the Robins, who they dropped both to down in Richmond. Potomac hosts Pittsburgh at home, with losing both games last match without Fleury and 3 other Franchise players. Should be some good games at the end and it will be a close finish.

ALSO.........

If Scottdale drops 4 of their last 6 (they have Raleigh, Pittsburgh, and who knows for last 2) they would be tied with Potomac; if Potomac was to win both vs Pitts.

Pittsburgh has a tough schedule left also.......so it could be a "last game of the season" type win to see whos seeds 2-4 will be.

Just my thoughts.............

Falcons 77 is correct. Mavericks have to win last 2, and Maryland have to win last 6 to clinch, or win 5 and an overtime win loss to tie.

Although, when MD played Richmond last in Richmond (I am from Richmond and was their), they were down to 6 pros and 1 minor league player due to injuries and such. MD playing at home with a full roster should be no worries for them. And lately, their goals scored have been high, and their goalie has been pretty good between the pipes. Although, anything can happen on gameday!

I think the closeness of play in this division is awesome for the fan! It makes going out to watch a game worthwhile. Good luck to all in the Mason Dixon this month!

i dunno for sure but i would have to guess that Scottdale has the tiebreakers against both Potomac and Maryland since we have better head-to-head records... Potomac and Maryland split their season series... does anyone know the tiebreaker system? sack races on consecutive sundays anyone??

and we play the Bandits 4 times. They're going to Richmond to make up games when we were originally supposed to play them so the games haven't been finalized yet, but it looks like we're going to play them on the friday the 18th.
