How come every other division has an all-star team, but the MCRHL?

In the past the MCRHL has had an All-Star team, it usually comes out a little later than other egions though.

Anyone have any ideas who? If I had to pick 8 and a goalie it would be:

F: Deskins, EMU
F: Lubanski, MSU
F: Johns, U of M
F: Yokubison, OCC
D: Steinberg, MSU
D: Holingshead, OSU
D: James, OCC
D: Janowiak, U of M
G: Diamond, EMU

Back-ups: Ascenzo (MSU), Schultz (EMU), Braun (PUR), Smith (OSU), Arakaki (U of M)

I think that would be a solid team.

Diamond is good, but he only played 6 games this season. There are a lot of good goalies in the MCRHL who played all year.

And James from OCC? Are you picking based on how many penalty minutes he can rack up?

No doubt about it - if Yokubison played DI, he'd be a DI All-Star. But, I don't think you should mix DI & DIII players in the same "All-Star" team.

schultz has got to be first team are you nuts. Unlike Deskins, he is a phenomal two way player.

yea and James is a hack.

Considering I have seen a lot of the MCRHL games this year, that is the team I picked. You can disagree, but I believe my team is pretty solid. As for why I picked who:

Deskins - played D1 ice for Miami-Ohio. He is strong on the puck and can score from anywhere. He made top 20 in points after only playing half the games.
Diamond - I don't care how many games he has played in net this year. He is the best goalie in the MCRHL right now.
Shultz - didn't make my first team because I because I thought others deserved it over him. He is a great two-way player, but that wasn't really what I was looking for.
James - if that kid isn't in the penalty box, he is setting up Yokubison with a great pass for a goal or taking the puck up himself. The only thing stopping this kid is his temper. He has the talent to beat out many people in the MCRHL.

As for mixing the two divisions, who cares? Why don't players who play D1 teams all year deserve to be on the all-star team? Yokubison led the league in points playing the same schedule as the rest of the D1 players. He is amongst the best of his age group in the country and earned a spot on my top 8.

I pick my team based on actually watching games. I didn't really care too much on points, as most people do. I go by the talent I see game in and game out.

Yokubison is a very talented player. I've seen him play a lot of NARCh and he's just about as much fun to watch play as PJ Tallo.

Why not include players from all divisions, OCC played the same schedule as all the DI teams such as MSU, EMU, UM, OSU, etc. Yokubison led the league in total points and goals and James was near the top in assists. These are two of the best players around and should not be excluded from MCRHL Allstar consideration.
