Coincidence? Last year the NCRHA Nationals and NCAA Frozen Four were in St. Louis. This year the NCRHA Nationals are in Colorado Springs, and the NCAA Frozen Four are in Denver at the Pepsi Center.

I wonder if anyone will be lucky enough to work their schedule out to be able to see both?

I tried for tickets last year @ St. Louis

The cost wasn't worth it.

Did you try "scalping" tickets at the door?

If the trend continues, nationals will be in the east next year. 09 Frozen Four at Verizon Center in Washington DC. Doubt it will continue. Theres a serious lack of good facilities around here.

Online. Generally the event sells out fast.

I couldn't see driving the 30+ minutes to the arena to try and find tickets.

although, at the winter invitational a few years back, i did get scalped Nashville-Blues tickets for ten dollars.

Bourque,

Thirty minutes? You couldn't have wanted to see the game that badly. ;)

When Wayne Gretzky came to the Los Angeles Kings, I told a work colleague of mine that we should try and get a couple of scalped tickets for opening night. He said, "Are you crazy, they'd cost you a fortune... if you could get them."

Well, to make a long story short, we drove over to the Great Western Forum and as we walked through the parking lot, a guy approached us and said, "Want to go to the game? I've got two tickets and I can't go. I'll sell them for cost."

That cost might have been about $20 a ticket at the time. Whatever it was, it was worth it to go see the game, and to see Gretzky score on his first shot as a King to help beat the Detroit Red Wings, 6-2.

Ain't life grand?!

Talking an hour round trip. To go down and back wasn't worth it. The casino worked just fine.
