What I dont understand is how a region that has their B teams play 9 regular season games sends the most B teams to nationals, and then gets another team as an alternate? Thats a 1/4 of the teams that got bids or named alternates and almost half the B teams in that region? While it might be the strongest region talent wise, have the teams played enough games to find out? Have they played enough games to warrant them 1/4 of the teams going to nationals? I think Missouri Columbia and Towson. Missouri Columbia went 12-3-3 in the regular season and 14-4-3 overall losing to Lindenwood Gold (who won nationals every year till now) in semis at regionals. Towson went 10-5-1 in the regular season and 12-6-2 overall losing to Penn State in OT in the semis at regionals. I personally watched the ECRHA Regionals. Towson B played great hockey and did so without one of their defensemen, playing with 3 D all weekend. I guess what I am trying to say is you cant please everyone, but I think 3 teams from a region that doesnt have B teams play alot games wasnt wise.

Congratulations to all of the B teams that recieved bids to Nationals. That would be really cool if a team would decide not to go so that my team can. Because I strongly believe that we earned a chance to compete for that National title. But either way.

I don't know how wise it was, since I don't know jack about any of the other regions, but I know our (Mizzou) B team is very competitive and IMHO deserves a bid. They beat and tied UMSL in their two meetings. They tied both Lindenwood Gold and Lindenwood Black, and the times they did lose to them were very close games.
edit:
Looks like Kevin beat me here. Check your email.

Well trust me, MCRHL B would love to play more games. Doesnt really matter tho, no one can hold a candle to EMU or MSU in this region. U of M shouldnt have got a bid, Im sure all those teams such as Mizzou r better than U OF M. They have a weak sauce schedule and rely on goaltending. Otherwise they are piss poor. They sneak out a win vs EMU and a tie vs MSU and dont play any more tough games, ( while EMU and MSU played each other 3 times) then get dominated and go 0-2 in the first two games of regionals as a one seed. they dont deserve a bid at all, i hope they turn it down so a good team from another region gets in. Agreed the regular season needs to have a better structure. You shouldnt be able to lose to a 4 seed in a 4 team tournament and then get dominated 7-2 by MSU in an elimination game and go to Nationals. Thier goalie better Stand on his head again or they will get slapped around in Colorado.
But both green and white teams from the mcrhl are the real deal.
Eh, UofM has had a decent track record at nationals, however I have no idea if they are as good as Mizzou. If anyone should decline their bid it should be the rocky mountain or texas teams. Those two regions have gone a collective 1-18-1 the last three years at nationals and I doubt anything has changed this year. I can think of many more deserving teams.

Penn State B has a great squad, they gave UB their only close games all season and the regional championship game was a nail bitter. i am anxious to see how the ecrha teams especially psu do at nationals.

Looks like to me that U of M won the regular season, meaning they get an automatic bid. Looks like all the teams played once and they came out with the best record. Why shouldn't they be there? Any team can have a bad day. EMU lost twice to Central Michigan, you didn't seem to want to mention that. Your logic fails.

I play for UB and i am looking forward to nationals, based on the competition we faced so far in the ECRHA, i wouldn't be surprised to see at least one of us in the finals. All of our match ups against PSU have been so close, the tie 4-4 when you came back and scored 2 PPG in the last 2 minutes, was actually my fault due to those 2 minor penalties.
The next match up Buffalo was down 3-4 with about 1 minute left, we desperately took a time out at the last whistle with about 2 seconds remaining. Won the draw back one of our defense men who then slapped/chipped the puck at the net which butterflied over past faces to tie it 4-4.
Then to mention the 2-1 nail biter in ECRHA Regional Championships. I don't think we need to talk about that one. But good luck and godspeed.

I didnt watch the whole PSU vs UB game, but I did watch the PSU vs Towson game. That was a great game, probably the best one I saw at regionals. All in all, there were many great games, but that one just stuck out.
