Who do predict will take it?

D1-Really tough to pick with so much talent out there, but I will choose the hottest team going in and will say Towson beating Stony Brook. I watched them play Stony Brook and they looked great. If they play like they did then, I really dont see them losing.

D2- I don't know as much but I will go out on a limb and take West Chester in OT vs Nueman. Both teams are solid and look foward to seeing that one.

DI Tough to call, I'm going with Stony Brook, although they haven't been on the top of their game lately. I know that Coach Tambo will have them ready to play. That plus the goaltending has always stepped it up in big games. If they stay out of the box I don't see them losing.
Buffalo has a real good team, RI also....Top 3 IMO.

DII Don't know much about the teams this season, Nueman is the team to beat though. Whether WC can do it remains to be seen.
It's going to be a great weekend, I'm sure all the games will be competitive.

It's gonna be a great weekend for roller hockey :) If I didn't have senior design to do, I'd sleep at the rink to watch the games.

I'll probably end up doing that, though... Who needs to graduate?

In D1 - I think you can make a strong case for either of these teams to take it all this weekend:

Army
Buffalo
Penn State
Rhode Island
Rutgers
Stony Brook
Towson

As Jesse Creek stated in another post - I think whatever team's goalie gets red hot, they can ride him all the way to the championship.

The farthest I'll go out on a limb to predict is the semi-finalists. I think it will be Penn State, Rutgers, Stony Brook and Rhode Island.

As for DII? I think West Chester will beat Neumann in the championship game.

Steve Inge - ROXBURY 8

*Please Note - I intentionally refrain from prognosticating on either the success or failure of the team (Towson) my son plays for, it just wouldn't be the right thing to do.

Because the kids I teach got their labs done way early, I made a handy-dandy scenario calculator for DII. Just open it up in Excel, follow the instructions, and see matchups and potential scenarios to your heart's content. I didn't put any viruses in it so when it complains about using a Macro ignore it.

If someone wants me to make one for DI I might be able to do that tomorrow.

are there shootouts?

Nope. Games in the RR end in a tie.

Games in the elimination rounds go to overtime until someone wins.
