i'm not sure about dates, but FIU has been missing players too. i think the teams are pretty even, but if it comes down to the finals against UF, i bet on FIU to perform pressure.

Everyone needs to get off those teams for real.

UCF will not get a bid unless they win regionals.

FIU has a great shot of getting a bid, and poise a great threat to win regionals; however, there loss to FSU hurts.

If UF wins regionals, the 3 bids will go to UF, FIU, FSU (as much as everyone hates them).

UF is going to nationals with FIU as a pretty much lock at well with an okay showing at regionals. UCF will get in over FSU and I believe USF deserves it more than FSU. I think the south will get 3 bids UF,FIU,UCF(or if someone other than FIU or UF wins regionals)

Accorrding to you USF deserves a bid? They finished in last place, they went 1-1-2 in the northern tournament (suppousedly the easy teams), they did beat FSU 3-2 no excuses though but the shots were 44-14 if you click on the stats.

FSU finished top 3 in the south. Losses to UF (suppoused best team in the region) are only by 1 goal and 2 goals. They beat FIU (the other suppoused best team in the region). They beat all the Northern teams, which UCF and USF had trouble with. FSU has proven they can hang with the big boys now.

And if your arguing for strength of schedule, the league is SECRHL not southern conference of SECRHL. Get some variety in the teams you face, instead of playing the same 4 teams 20 times in a row.

I don't think USF deserves a bid, I believe UCF should go over FSU no matter what. What I am saying is you put UCF,FIU, or USF in the schedule FSU had these talks would be completely different. I think if FSU goes to nationals over UCF there is something wrong with this league, it just shows if you play a weaker schedule you have a better chance to go to nationals. USF went 2-1-1 in the northern tournament according to the results but I could be wrong, UCF beat USC 10-2, is that having trouble with them. UCF is possibly the second best team in the south with there full roster. FSU was 1-6 against the south teams with a win against FIU who was missing 2 of there 3 best players at FSU's home rink.

I'll say UF,FIU,UCF should get the bids after seeing results from the complete 20 game season.

I think we will start seeing all of the south teams heading up north to play if FSU gets in over UCF or FIU without winning regionals

the ONLY reason FSU has competative games against the southern teams is because they have experience playing those teams and know the players on the teams (in a hockey sense). im telling you if FSU goes to nationals they would be absolutely smoked every game. it would be a waste of time for FSU to go and FIU or UCF not going because they stand a much better chance of winning games and making some noise. afterall, FIU did beat towson last year in the playoffs.

NYR do you not know how to read? USF went 2-1-1 in the northen conference. We also had 5 players that entire tournament. We also played FSU with 6 guys to their 14.

Im not saying we derserve a nationals bid, but I don't think anyone can make an arguement for why FSU should get a bid above us.

Like I said before if the SECRHL gets 3 bids it will be UF, FIU, then UCF

i dont think usf or fsu have much of a case over ucf. and usf beat fsu in their only matchup, so i think that should count if it ever came down to it (in addition to a game between them at regionals).

also, stuff never goes perfectly according to plan, so i'm somehow pretty confident elon will be taken out.... its just a matter of who will sneak up on them at regionals. in any case, i think elon will deserve a nationals bid.

When people complain about only having 6 players or 4 players or a back up goalie, the only thing that does is make the people who vote on nationals bids even more skeptical about what kind of organization they're going to be bringing to nationals. It's seen less as an excuse and more an indictment of the commitment of players to the program.

Not once have I said USF is derserving of a nationals bid and I play for them. Would I love to go to Colorado, of course. Unfortunately, this year has been rough with people who can't play because of school, work, family problems, and injuries. There is no excuse for how we perform , especially this past weekend. I think we did okay this year for the talent we had.

Damn those characters on USF are great. They jump over penalty boxes to try and fight someone in full pads that is half their size. They talk **** when they are up 5-1 in the second period and think that FSU was bad enough to loose to them hah. Their goalie lets in shots from the other side of the rink. And then they **** on a captain for bringing his team back from a 4 goal deficit. I just don’t get it I thought most people in college were adults but I guess at directional schools it’s a bit different. :p

1-Directional school? There are 3 top tier schools in Florida. UF, FSU and USF. So directional school just doesn't make sense.
2- The kid in the penalty box got whooped because he was talkin ****. The kid that walked through the penalty box doesnt talk **** but backs it up. #55 said that it takes two people to beat him up and #9 on USF proved that wasn't true.
3-Ask anyone in the stands who started talkin trash first. When FSU scored the full rink goal that started the trash talking. Then when you captain made a few moves in the middle of the rink he started calling people out saying there are terrible. Class? You tell me. Your captain started saying, "Your terrible, your terrible, your terrible." That is what took the game to another level. Thats when USF started playing FSU's game.
4- Obviously USF lost that game because we started to run and gun which isn't our game and we blew it. I can admit that easily because it's true.

Look at FSU problems this year and its all true because JR told me.
- After a player on Virgnia Tech shoots a player on FSU says nice shot...(insert racial slur for chinese person) Then that person takes off FSU kids helmet and starts beating him with it
- During FIU game a player scores an EMPTY NET GOAL and celebrates by rowing the boat. FIU has a lot of hispanic players on their team and they didn't appreciate that. It was an empty net goal by the way in case I didn't say that.
- I already explained what happened during the FSU game. Players from FSU also started cursing at USC players and parents during the game after they scored a goal. So all the talk Canedogg about being adults is stupid.

Just put the game behind you because that is what our team did, I just needed to ahhahh clear my throat.

ummmm Im gonna have to disagree, three top teams in florida are UF, UCF, and FIU. FSU and USF are a notch below. USF went 1-2-1 against UCF this season, being outscored 24-16, went 1-3-0 against FIU, being outscored 24-14. FSU lost to UCF in their only match, losing what like 9-3, and then went 1-2-0 against FIU, being outscored 18-13. There is no way you can rank FSU and USF ahead of FIU and UCF, and if we include Broward, that pushes one of those teams outside the top 5

he is correct tho about the extreme smack talking and racial slurrs that fsu players throw out. i watched a game where fsu played fiu and after the game they kept calling them **** and throwing out insults about playing soccer instead of hockey. fsu knows they arent on the levels of the top teams in the region and i guess talking all that **** helps boost their morales

FSU is by the far the most classless team we played all year, its not even close. In 14 years of playing hockey i have never heard a team talk so much ****...its ridiculous...At one point, i saw them score a goal and then three of them got together in the middle of the rink and made motions as if they were having sex with each other on the rink. The sad thing is, no one on that team has the individual talent to talk any **** to other players in the league. Yes, they play well as a team and have 14 players so they never get tired, but the **** talking and cheap shots they take is ridiculous...and #55 got the crap beat out of him cuz he turned to the two USF players and said.."what, it takes two of you to fight me"?...i think #9 proved it only takes one, especially considering 55 just turtled up and took it.

First, there is no way usf is in the top three schools academically in florida it goes Florida, Florida State and then U of Miami. Second, we are playing a real sport not tennis or golf guys. Most of you must have never played football or basketball on a competitive team, you probably played roller hockey in some league that gave you penalties for cursing. If you have ever played football in highschool or in college **** talking is a huge part of the game you get into people heads like fsu did against usf and you take them out of the game like fsu did against usf. Third, FSU has amazing talent, everyone knows this because every team takes shots from half court on our goalies because its to hard to get past our defense and our offense puts up enough numbers each game to win but we simply have weak goal tending. If we had USF's goalie we would have placed second in the region with out a doubt in my mind. If you guys don’t agree with this your nuts. **** talking is part of the game were playing a collegiate sport WAKE UP!

i also dont think that you will find many people agreeing with you when you say you will be a top 2 team if you had our goalie in net. Even if you guys had an average goalie you would be good. If our team didnt have napert or regan our goaltending would definitely not be as good.

about trash talking fsu is the only team that does it. we dont play basketball or football. its roller hockey. I would understand if it is part of the game if every team did it, but FSU is the only one. If they need to trash talk to win so be it. Its also roller hockey so taking it to the extreme of wanting to trash talk to win the game is retarded.

There is a LOT of trash talk in our league...not just by FSU, but by SEVERAL of the teams. I am not going to name schools, because that isn't the point of my post.

You can blame the teams that talk the trash, but if our goal is to have a league with more "class", then we might want to look at the officials as well. The guys in the north region of the SECRHL seem to have things under control, but when you come down to the southern region, they could care less what is said ( or done ). One comment or cheap shot leads to the next and then all of the sudden a game is completely out of control. Then they decide to start making calls which frustrates the teams because why call the penalties now? They have been letting ____ go all game? Then you have frustrated teams, in a heated game...this doesn't end well.

If we want to focus on "class", why don't we get our officials to enforce class? If we want to be the best (as a league) that we can be, why don't we demand the "best" from our teams AND our officials? There are some great officials in the state of Florida...lets start using them.
