Inline Hockey Team From India

Hello,

We are one of the leading Academy's for Inline skating in India. We
have an Inline hockey team. We are one of the pioneers for Inline hockey in India. Our players have won medals at the national level and international level for speed skating and we intend to be the as successful for inline hockey as well nationally and internationally. Inline hockey is in its early stages in India but we have managed to put together a good team which has players who have been champion speed skaters and now want to work towards developing Inline hockey in India. And we feel that playing competitively would only help us improve our game apart from the schedule.
I wanted to know if my team can come and participate in one of the leagues there this year before or after june.?

Hey Vishwaraj!

You made it! Congratulations. It's great to see the first post from India that I can recall in IHC's 10-year history. I wish you great success with your inline hockey program, and I hope that some tournaments in the U.S. or Canada will invite you to participate in their events. My guess is that they will. ;)

It's to late to participate in PIHA this year, but you may want to contact Charlie Yoder about some 2008-2009 International Expansion. If you are interested in tournaments you may want to check out NARCh, ToHRS and 2Hot4Ice. Thoese are some of our leading tournaments.

I don't knwo how it would work but you could also take your team to visit the iranian boys at Engelhaab Skating Academy - they have a smilar background being speedskaters who nows play inline hockey. They're also a very friendly bunch.

Did your team play in the international tournament in India at the end of 2007 (I think the iranian guys were planning on going there instead of to Hong Kong)? (did it even go ahead?)

ya i met the iran team .. they are good.. they stood 3rd at the asians when they were here.. we were 4th.... lets see what happen's i have emailed mohammad ... he's not replied back.... their team was good..!
