First, to those concerned, my apologies for hijacking and ruining the "goodbye from a referee" thread. Second, just gonna finish my reply to our dearest ACCCT since that thread was closed...and nobody can really say this thread has gone off track because it's off the track from the start...and don't worry I won't drag it on for 'Dave Alvarez' length. Plus, this is still funny to me, haha...

(On a side note, don't be confused, ACCCT's quotes are in bold which was added by me to the already substantial amount of unnecessary bolding going on in the original posts.)

"Secondly, I'd like you to show me the quote where I "insulted" (or insinuated) you as being "a small-time peon" -- you can't, because it was never done (however, if something inside of you makes you feel that way, all I can say is that's your problem, now isn't it)."

As I'm sure your intellect can understand, insinuating and implying is relative, it's a matter of whether or not I feel an insult was implied or insinuated. And, in this instance, I did. Can I quote you using the words "small time peon"? Obviously not. Your advanced intellect should be able to understand the hyperbole at use in those words.

"I only mentioned something that is an absolute fact: you don't know anything about the 200,000 Euro event"

This goes back to the original intent of asking the complicated question of 'what's going on with your event'? Such a question does not merit a bloated response like you originally gave. All I needed was that line about how you guys want to keep it under wraps for now which you gave in like your 4th response, instead of giving me the one sentence reply I needed and it would have been over on your first reply. On that note, I'd like to officially assign the blame for ruining the "goodbye from a referee" thread to you. Ha!

"Just what is "out of line" in your book -- accusing someone of saying something they didn't (like "alex" did)? Or would it be getting your facts wrong (as "alex" did)? Or could it be calling someone (including himself) derogatory names (like "alex" did)? Or should it be twisting the timbre, tone and meaning what was said and is in fact on the record into something not even remotely close (as "alex" did)? -- Whatever, dipsey-dudes -- "simmer down", indeed. If anything, I'd call "alex's" completely inaccurate and irresponsible way with words and the truth a truly "ridiculous writing style"."

Where did I twist the "timbre, tone, and meaning" of what was said? (Great use of alliteration by the way) Where did I make it into something not remotely close? You did say, as was previously "quoted", that the event was "more than 200,000." Now, you're saying it's 200,000 like it's ridiculous for me to have ever thought it was more...Maybe, it was YOU twisting around your own facts!!!

"And finally, the thread "lost all direction" because of what "alex" in fact did, not me."

Please "refer" to earlier in this "response" where you were officially "assigned" blame for that "thread" losing "direction".

YIPPIE!

I didn't think anyone else realized it was national bold faced letter day!!!

Tomorrow is Italics and Bold day.

Keep in mind these are only warmups to the internationally know weeklong festival of over punctuation coming in March.

I hear this year a major sponsor is promising 200k Euros for the best post with over punctuation. Good luck to everyone!

And WOW -- REALLY, dude -- I'm kinda' worried that another hockey guy refered to me as "Dearest"...!?!

Very funny post indeed .... the only disappointing element is knowing ACCCCCCT2 will get a smug satisfaction that someone took such a long time to direct a post directly at him!!

Probably the most attention he's had in a long long time if you know what I mean .....

I, for one, firmly believe there should be more posts dedicated to this man's honor. And by more, I mean an infinite amount. I mean really we should rename this website after him. IACCCT2C (Inline ACCCT2 Central) really has a nice ring to it.

Call me "Dearest" (or any "West Village" endearment you might know:eek:), pay 'homage' in any way you like, or butter me up to your heart's content -- I'm STILL not interested, you cheeky puck-boy, you;)...!!!

given the tone of some of their posts I'd be watching for a check from behind... ;)

Can we get an answer "is your tournament likely to happen this year, and if so what quarter (or anything even more specific)?" Organising travel from Australia is expensive and it'd be nice to have plenty of advance warning so a team can be worked out.

That's why I play defense -- to keep the play (and "checks") in FRONT of me;)...!!!

Our tournament/event is indeed going to happen -- and as I said before, we'll let everyone know at the same time as to 'when' once we're ready. Don't worry, part of our program involves exclusive "Event Travel Packages" that will include everything needed (international airfare; hotels; ground; sightseeing & cultural program; diplomatic receptions & after-parties; etc.) for each team & player participating. Our airline (& ground) gateways include "capital" departures from every major inline hockey-playing nation and then some.

Just so anyone who might be curious knows -- one the reasons we secured well over 200,000 Euros in "purse" and sponsorship money, as well as the reason we can do everything this "BIG" is because we've partnered with numerous logistical "event partners" that have come on-board with us based upon a certain guaranteed volume of expected business that will be generated off of and from the event. And everything pre-packaged together allows for "one-stop" shopping and confirmation of virtually everyone who will be coming to the event.

And I further guarantee you that our "Event Travel Packages" will beat anything that you could put together on your own to/from "danunda'" there in Australia (as well as from anywhere else around the globe).

So, don't sweat the announcement -- once the word's out, you'll have plenty of time for team/player registration, confirmation and fundraising, etc.;)

WOW...!?! -- I realized I just did a IHC post with virtually NO formatting (well, almont none anyway!)...!!!
