My experiences, as well as some of the experiences of professionally run organizations such as NHL clubs and especially AHL, are use a name that represents the region you are in.

In New York for example, you have the meadowlands, the big city, the upstate area, finger lakes region, and even niagara falls and such. Depending on where you live, you can relate your name to the area.
