As I understand it, Tony "TORHS" no longer has an ownership position in TORHS and TORHS is now owned by two partners from the St. Louis area. I hope this information is accurate. If not, I apologize.

If there are in fact "NEW" owners of TORHS, congrat's, good luck and I'd like to share my "two cents" with regards to TORHS Winter Cup Finals this past weekend in Feasterville, PA.

PRO:
1-HIP, HIP, HOORAY for the change to 2 - 12 minute stop time periods.
2-I don't recall anyone complaining about the reffing this past weekend. A BIG change for TORHS ! ! !
3-Thanks to George for showing some FLEXIBILITY (a word formally unknown to TORHS) and making schedule changes that MADE SENSE ! ! !
4-Reseeding, WHAT A CONCEPT ! ! ! (ie. Highest Seed vs Lowest Seed) in the playoffs. It's been a long time coming to TORHS.

CON:
1-I just don't understand why TORHS consistently runs behind schedule, unlike NARCh. Maybe we'll see some improvement during the course of the upcoming season.

All, in all, a refreshing change in my opinion of TORHS. I wonder if anyone else agrees.

I look forward to Nationals at the Pepsi Center in Buffalo. (WHAT, NOT DETROIT AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN?)

I can tell you from being one of the rink directors Torhs was not really behind schedule if often at all.....The longest delay for a start time at one point this weekend was 30 minutes and most of those games that were late either due to inuries or a lot of penalties called in a game. I think their event went excellently this weekend and the new changes made it more exciting.

When I said "consistently runs behind" I meant from tournament to tournament, not all weekend long. IMO both TORHS Winter Cup and TORHS Nationals, and some - if not most, Regionals, by the end of the day are running behind schedule and this weekend was no exception. Believe me, I know first hand.

Hopefully, that will change.
