View Full Version : PIHA Pros playing Minors
I may have missed the answer to this question after looking through the PIHA rule book, but is there a Maximum number of games a player who signed a Pro contract can play for their Minor team?

no, but any pro player with a franchise tag can not play any minor games. Also only two players in any one day may play both pro and minor. All players must play 20 games in a division to be eligable for the playoffs. That does not mean 16 pro and 4 minor. It means 20 pro games to be eligablwe for pro playoffs and the same for minors.

What about goaltenders, how do these rules apply to them?
By the way, where is this information avaliable? I also did not see it inthe rulebook.

All of this information was given to each team's general manager or owner, before they signed up this season. I will make an effort to have it available on the web soon.

Can someone please answer if this pertains to goalies as well with the 20 games needed.
Thanks,

Yes it does. Let me answer the next question as well. A goalie doesnt need to actually play in the game for it to count. The back up does get game credit as long as they are rostered and actually riding the pine.
But goalies must play 20 games as well.
