Anyone here at any of the events? How are all the teams and games shaping up? Teams improving, any new teams looking good anywhere?

yes i see they are posted live, as are WCRHL. Just wondering what people thought of the live action this week. Not necessarily the scores but just a place to talk about the games. Things like who looked good etc etc.

Looks like Elon took out 3 years worth of frustration on Emory... but only after losing to Western Carolina (WHAT?)...

Western Carolina the best team in SECRHL DII??? Its not like last year where they beat up on the same 3 teams all year, they are having quality results against quality teams now... hopefully after an attitude adjustment.

look at the ecrha weekend, towson losing a pair to rutgers and penn state, Rutgers also catching up to Stonybrook for first in the ecrha DI. should there be upsets that we should be looking towards for the 2nd half? let me hear some input?

Anyone in the WCRHL see any SDSU games? I thought they looked really good.

SDSU looked pretty good I hope my team gets a chance to play them, after giving Cal Poly Pomona their first loss of the season it would be another good challenge

It was an interesting weekend at the WCRHL event. Starting with the highly ranked Cal Poly Pomona falling to Cal Poly Slo Gold (B team). I will say in Pomona's defense they were plagued with bad penaltys and injuries in the first period.

Then SDSU came out firing against USC and destroyed them like 8-1 or something. If SDSU becomes an official team next year they will be tough to beat. They are lead by Tommy Neer who plays for the mission syndicate pro team.

After that game the next big game was between Cal Poly Pomona and SDSU. After Pomona's first showing alot of people thought Pomona would get handled by SDSU, but in fact Pomona lead up till the last minute when SDSU tied the game up 6-6. This tie would follow with two more ties against Irvine and Cal.

Irvine did not look like its impressive self this weekend, with a much fuller bench. They still dominated most the teams the played, and won all three league games that counted.

UCSD also won out there schedule, but they really haven't had a tough schedule since there first tournament up in San Jose where they lost to Pomona.

All in All it was a pretty good showing from all teams this weekend and it will be interesting to see how the divisions shape up in the second half.

And remember:

Pomona didn't lose to SDSU. In fact they were beating them the entire game, but ended up tying 6-6. It was probably the best game of the weekend!

I know they didn't beat Pomona my team did, but i actually got all screwed up and thought we were talking about UC San Deigo. That is who I hope my team (Cal Poly Gold B) gets a chance to play.

Yea Elon walked all over Emory, it was kinda different than the Emory/Elon games of years past. I caught the Emory/Western game later in the afternoon and I can say that Elon is def a better team than western carolina. I am curious to what Emory will look like next semester. My money is on Elon to win the SE this year as they have been missing one of their best players this semester....

On the point of the attitude adjustment I doubt it, The Emory coach and the Western coach were def having some disagreements during the game b/t the two teams should we say.

I re-read your comment and now it makes sense. Your SLO B team was pretty good. I play on Pomona and I will say we had a series of bad events that game, but you guys put up a really good game. Several of my teammates thought you guys were the fastest team we played all season. I will say though we felt SDSU was much better than UCSD.

It would be an interesting game to see you guys play UCSD.
