just got back from the game and Potomic's minor team won 4-0 and i think 9-2, not quite sure on the second score i was in the locker room. Potomic's pro team won 3-2 and 7-1. (thank god we broke their shutout with 7 seconds left!). pretty good first game, and got choppy and sloppy in the second. but good games all around

good to hear....

what are your thoughts on both teams for the season?

well i play for winchester so obviously i'm thinking we're gonna win it all. heh, but we'll be ok once we get used to each other and go back to the basics of passing, shooting and skating for the loose pucks. Potomic was strong. we definately had our chances to bury it but their goalie was up to the task. they've got guys that can make and break plays so it'll be a fun season. but we'll come together soon enough so keep an ear out.

I think that Winchester should not be taken lightly, hence the 3-2, game one score. If you give them hope, they will play you strong. That team does have a ton of heart.

For their minors, well, I need to see more of them and they need some work.

As for the Mavericks, Pros looked great even though missing a few key players. The Minors did better then expected and really clicked well.

Either way, first PIHA games for both teams; we shouldnt judge just yet.

Good points Falcons77. When the Winchester guys have played in the past, they always played with heart. They don't give up until the very end. It is too early to make any predicitions now. It takes more than a strong roster to win a season in PIHA.

Pro Game 2 score was 9 - 1.

Whinchester has a good blue line.

I was floored when I saw the Pro game. It was such a HUGE step up from the lackluster minor game. Everything went really, really, REALLY fast.

Both teams played pretty well (Pro and Minor). The Mavericks came with a little better game than the Generals this time. The Mavericks have been playing together for a little while and the Generals are a new team so let's go ahead and give them that benefit and see how they come along as a team in future games.
