just for some help, if you were planning on traveling up I-95 you can take the Merrit Pkwy (Rt. 15) which will connect you with I-91N at exit 68N. Or take 684E which you would pick up 84E. This would get you around the accident.

Luckily East Lyme is on the eastern part of the state - if you are coming from NYC/NJ you should miss it entirely. The bridgeport ferry should also be far enough away from this accident to not be affected by it. The only team that may experience some issues should be URI and they are likely to leave tomorrow due to the fact that their first game is at 1:15.
