Tour Code Red skates = garbage

After about 30 games, my Code Red chassis have cracked. There is a brace near the back wheel on each skate. On one it's cracked. On the other it's completely gone.

Warranty is 120 days. Out of my pocket flew $250.

Who has the best warranty and most reliable skate?

well, from experience, i can say my current tours are the best. I have G60's, an old model from few years back, but with upgraded redline chassis from the tour 962's/fishbones. I play all year round at least once a week and I've been rocking these for at least 3-4 years.

Before that..i bought a pair of "middle of the line" missions...not the best, but not the cheapest. 2 weeks after i got them i took a shot to the chassis and it bent...so bad that the wheel wouldnt even spin. and Mission wouldnt honor my warranty, they gave me some crap run-around...so I will personally never buy mission again.

with any mass produced Item, there is always a few lemons that will slip through QA. I say if you like the boot, look at putting a new frame on them. maybe sprungs?

While I always recommend mission and tour models from any year...time for another legendary Stubies update...

my first pair of Stubbies (Gear, circa 2001) lasted three months before the chasis welds snapped, much like you describe with your Reds.

Oh, well, I said...went to the second pair...that second pair is presently wth me: 8th or ninth set of wheels, fifth set of bearings, approximately 4,000 to 5,000 hours of use...the insides still look great...I am in skates 20-45 hours per week, owning my own rink, and directing the majority of programs.

Glad I didn't give up after that first pair...obviously a bad luck pair...the second pair has been my alltime favorite skate, no doubt.
