The new franchise will be know as the Long Island 495ers and they will be holding their inaugural open tryouts at their home facility, Skate Safe America in Old Bethpage, New York, the minimum age to play on the Professional Team is 18 and the minimum age to play on the Minor Team is 16. Tryouts are scheduled for the following dates and times:
Saturday, October 13
3:00 - check in & meeting
4:00pm - 6:00pm Rink Time

Saturday October 20
4:00pm - 6:00pm

Sunday October 21
10:00pm - 11:00pm

The tryout fee is $75.00 per player which includes five hours of rink time and a tryout jersey. Team management and the coaching staff have made it MANDATORY that all players must attend at least two of the tryout dates.

PIHA features over forty Professional teams and close to thirty minor teams throughout the United States. A regular season consists of 16 home games and sixteen away games. For more information regarding the league, please visit www.thePIHA.com.
