With so many players from PIHA playing this year in the Senior Division at State Wars what team(s) have a real chance to knock off NY? With NY being the two time defending champs they have to be the favorites but who are some other strong teams out threre that can take the crown from them?

Michigan II is made up mainly MLRH players from the Rebels. The top 3 players ( one of which has played in the UHL & SPHL), the #1 goalie from the Rebels, 1 guy from LSSU Div-1 team, another from the UHL, & two guys from college club teams. They should be pretty good.

Colorado should win it all. Im thinking absolute domination, wait, I am playing for that team, no wonder my opinion is so jaded. Looking forward to a fun week of hockey!

Let's not forget that an IL team has made it to the finals every year....

Gotta go with Thompson's New York squad for the three-peat. Illinois should be in the running as usual. Itan's California team looks good but not deep enough to beat New York.

Nothing against the Michigan II team because we have played against them in MLRH and they have a solid squad, but I think the Michigan I team with Jalabba and crew will be a much tougher team in the tournament. I think that our (illinois II) first game against them Thursday will be one of the better match ups of the preliminary round of the tournament.
