Potomac Mavericks, PIHA TRYOUT

Yet another new PIHA team/organization this season...... the Potomac Mavericks will be playing out of "The Box" Inline Arena in Chantilly, VA. Try-outs for the team will be held on SATURDAY, AUGUST 18: 12 - 2 PM and 6 - 8 PM; SUNDAY, AUGUST 19: 12 - 2 PM; AND TUESDAY, AUGUST 21: 730-930 PM. Fee is $50 and will include a jersey and 8 hours of court time. Players do not need to be at all tryout times, but must attend at least one.

Welcome to the league Billy and the Potomac Mavericks! I have known this organization for many many years through their youth travel programs, and with other business/friendship relations and I can tell you firsthand that this entire organization, from its management, staff, coaches, parents of their youth program and the youth itself is entirely a class act from top to bottom. These people care about the sport and the image they project in the sport, and this will be a great addition to PIHA.

I have also seen their new facility and it is first rate and top notch.

Also, there are people spreading rumors that the team is already picked. This is untrue, no one has made the Pro or Minor Team yet. The team will not be picked until AFTER all three dates of try-outs are completed.

I can vouch for that statement as I spoke with one of the directors of this team yesterday about equipment. This team is not picked by any means! Good Luck with the tryout Billy, and give me a buzz soon!
