Does anyone know if they will be reducing goaltender pad size to 11 inches?

Since the NCRHA rule book is at its core an adaptation of the USA Hockey InLine rule book, NCRHA will probably only do something like this if it is enacted by USA Hockey InLine.
NCRHA goalies should note that all cages must be HECC-approved starting this year, though (no more pro cateyes).

What about certified cat eye cages?
I only ask because a lot of people equate HECC with birdcages.

Anything HECC-certified is legit. Having used the 'certified' cateye before, I'd advise just going with the normal cage :P

After using the real cat-eye for a few years, it is almost impossible to go back to the regular cage...Im out of college anyways, so I guess its irrelevant...

I'm not looking forward to the switch, as I'm going to have to keep changing cages from PIHA to ECRHA to whatever. I really prefer the cateye, but I'm guessing it's a liability/insurance issue, which would make it hard to get grandfathered in or anything of the sort :p :D

Awww, bitch bitch bitch. :p
Leafer, for what it's worth, there are several masks out there with HECC cages that are awesome. I recently replaced my Promasque with a Hackva and the sightlines are amazing. I don't even miss my cat-eye anymore.

Hey bud, sorry for the late response, but if you contact Gabe, he'll hook you up. He's an extremely nice guy to talk to, plus he makes a top notch product.
