Calling all roller hockey coaches!!

I am the head coach of the Drexel Roller Hockey Club, and I'm always interested in speaking to other coaches around the country. I know there are websites out there for coaches, but nothing beats actual conversation with guys that have "been there done that."

I think it's time we have our own thread to share ideas, stories, drills and work to better ourselves as coaches, much like our players do by utilizing this forum. So if you're a coach, or if you'd like to become one, let's utilize this thread to communicate. After all, communication is the most important aspect of any great team. I hope to hear from you all. If we utilize this thread productively, maybe the powers that be will give us our own board.;)

Hi Bob,

Good idea. If there is enough interest from coaches, I would have no problem in giving coaches their own board.

It would also be sweet to have a regular (once a month?) guest columnist write something on coaching and perhaps share a unique drill?

Burke, that is a great idea. Being able to read a column, and get some insight from the guys that coach the PIHA teams, Team USA or the top Tournament teams around the country would be beneficial to other coaches.

I'm also very interested in attending the coaching seminars that the ECRHA has proposed for the up-coming season. I'm happy to see the league is taking a proactive approach to better the coaching staffs at the college level.
