View Full Version : Mission Skates: Wicked 3
My question is to anyone who owns the Wicked 3 skates. Do you have any complaints about the skate? Or are you completely happy with them? I just tried them on at the store today and I really like them, but I am having a hard time deciding if I want to spend that much money. What do you guys think? Are they worth it?

I had the wicked 3's for about a month and they absolutely killed my feet. I had huge blisters on both ankles and the pain never stopped. I play about 3-4 times a week and at the time I was out in Phoenix playing in NARCH and I talked to a mission rep who was nice enough to send me a pair of wicked 5's.
In the time that i had the 3's i got them baked twice and played on them with no luck in breaking them in at all. I am 6'1 200lbs and have been playing hockey my whole life, both ice and roller, and i have never had this much trouble breaking skates in. Once i got the 5's and was able to put the mini bearings and better wheels on them, they were just about the same exact weight as the 3's and i like them a lot better. I suggest going with the 5's which is a much less stiff boot and easier to break in. Throw some mini bearings and new wheels on them and you will be good to go.

I had a real hard time breaking mine in as well. I had them baked twice and still had some problems with them. I think they are just too stiff. It took about 3 months but finally they stopped hurting my feet. Once you get them broken in you will love them. Just understand it may take more time than you are use to to get them broken in.
Thanks
Paul

I Was Also Looking Into Getting New Skates. But In My Many Years Playing Never Used Missions. The 3's Looked Good But Im Thinking Of Maybe The 5's Because There Doesn't Seem To Be Much Of A Difference Plus I'll Save A Few Bucks. Any Opinons?
So are you guys saying that baking them didnt help the break in process?

I've had mine for about 3 months now and love them. They are really stiff but that was the whole point of the design. I baked them twice before I used them and they were fine.
