Dek Hockey & Roller Hockey Questions?

Sorry, I did not see any threads with this subject, but I needed to ask.

I used to play dek and roller in my town. Now our rink has been closed down for at least a few years due to many reasons.

I was wondering if the demand for dek hockey is still alive and thriving?

Also Roller Hockey creating high school teams or college teams and leagues. If the schools themselves do not want any part in it, can you recruite the players and make a league for them anyway. That is if they all want to play?

Any thoughs?

I haven't heard much about dek hockey lately. I just know that it's more popular on the east coast and in Canada than anywhere else.
