I decided to tape this game, because I hadn't actually done it myself in a long time. As you can see, I'm not that good at it.

Last game of the season...

St. Charles vs. Broward...goals and a few other highlights.

according to a verifiable source, after release of this video on youtube, the Broward goalie has received nearly a dozen offers from NHL teams to sign a contract for the upcomming 2007-2008 season. Congrats!

Believe it or not, I actually had many saves in this game! (I know, crazy..)
I had my work cut out for me, mostly because my team was dead tired, as I'm sure you just saw (myself included). We really didnt get many shots on goal, and they did. " Way to keep them in it." - st. charles player, post game. the score should've been double digits, but it wasnt - no sense in just giving up after comming all that way.

I'd say I let in 2 bad goals... the 3rd (which if you watch, deflects off our defensemans stick to the shortside) and the 8th(!) ( 3 on 0/1 and i didnt know where it was)

thanks for the publicity though...

I didn't want to say anything but bcc is annoying me with all his posts and excuses. When you guys came to nationals you guys must have been thinking well if we win with 6 we can say hey were the best we even won with only 6 players.....if we lose well just blame it on only having 6 players......so there were no chance of anyone saying hey the other team is just better. Well..... stop with the excuses you lost its over no need to blame it on only 6 players. Your just a sore loser...your team isnt but you are because i dont see them posting excuses and blah blah blah...Let it go ...its over...practice for next year...........................................oh yeah another thing...you had a post some where saying we must have been worried if one of us scouted or looked at your my space....what the hell are you talking about no one searched for you my space and chanted your saying on the bench what are you talking about we dont waste our time with that ****.....whats your chant anyways

(a) i didnt say you guys were worried, i said i must have been doing something good enough (because they said i sucked)

(b) the goalie on your bench is now a friend on my myspace. I didnt magicly get friended, and he didnt coincidently chant, out of nowhere, "time to shine" the 3 times i skated near your bench.

(c) when you have a handful of people on this message board that think GP hockey (except lindenwood, becuase, well, they are) is the end all region of hockey, and st. charles will spank us, no problem (this is what basicly had been said up to nationals), that sh*t is whats ANNOYING to me. When we came to nationals , we thought we had a few more people comming - and they didn't. w/e, we still went the distance w/ what we had and lost in the championship, after previously beating st. charles team, early on. you guys deserved the win, you outskated our tired skaters when it matterd most and came out on top. No one is questioning that. However, anyone that watched both games would tell you, you didnt play the same team twice. If you want this to die, u may as well just not reply, because you'll get more of the same.

other members of our team are on here, they just dont put themselves on blast like i do, because they know ill stand up for our team, and they can sit back and laugh.

see you guys next year.

Point is they won, you lost.

You shouldn't have felt the need to defend your team's performance.

Its just like the people who attacked Rhode Island.

W 5-4 vs St. Charles
W 6-5 vs Suffolk
T 4-4 vs Nassau
W 3-2 vs Nassau
L 8-2 vs St. Charles

Speaks Volume.

Excatly, good post.

P.S. Great Job on the Video, it's people like you who help this sport grow and gain respect, thanks.

I, too, enjoy bragging about how good I am on a message board.

I'm awesome.

I could totally beat you [on this messageboard]. In fact, no one that posts here [in the next 0.5 seconds] is better than I am [unless someone posts in that timeframe].

I challenge you.

Agreed 100%. Broward earned it. They're better than they looked in the final.

There's a lot to be said for a team that survives close games. That's how Stony Brook and SLU reached the final in DII.

We didn't reach the finals just because we "survived" close games, we did that and we out and out beat teams, stop acting like it was an act of god that we somehow barely beat teams and won the championship....

could you possibly take a compliment any worse?

"there's a lot to be said..." = positive comment

you play well in tight situations, why does that offend you?

It's probably a result of the crap they've been taking from a lot of people since winning the DII Championships (I'm guilty of it, too).

The fact of the matter is that they (SBU) played well. I don't think Mr. Lambert meant anything derogatory, but regardless, I can understand the response.

Anyway, thanks for the video of the DIII championship. Always fun to watch other games.

Edited to add that I assumed that was an SBU player... If I'm wrong, I apologize :D

Trendy Robot was programmed to take offense to anything that has to do with SBU.

Patn: Robots don't say "ye"!

trendyrobot: Relax, mammal. My robotic software shall meet your calculatory needs. What is the meaning of this symbol?

Patn: That's a plus sign, ya pointy-haired loony! Quit thinking you're a robot!

trendyrobot: I'll show ye!

What the hell are you talking about?

"Surviving" close games is no accident...let alone winning a CHAMPIONSHIP.

Try not to be so hypersensitive, OK?

I thought that was pretty obvious, but you never know what kind of reading comprehension difficulty your readers might have. Every time I write something, I have to tiptoe around this type of BS.

but regardless, I can understand the response.

I guess I can too. Sometimes it seems pointless to even put anything out in public because of knee-jerk hypersensitivity.

Anyway, thanks for the video of the DIII championship. Always fun to watch other games.

No problem!
